Friday, day of Freya, the love goddess on her cat chariot... the Germanic equivalent of Venus... that's why the day is called Vendredi in French.... symbol of love, attraction, anything that can be called erotic... (she is Eros' mother after all).
The Nine of Cups. What a wonderful card for any day, but especially a Friday! It's funny to see all those cups, and next to my laptop is a wine glass. We drink wine so rarely, only on holidays, but tonight I felt my husband and I deserved a little round of white wine together while we watched the FIFA world championship.... we didn't even finish the bottle but already half a glass is real luxury for us. Such a nice evening.
The middle decan of Pisces, ruled by Jupiter - who used to rule Pisces, didn't he?, before Neptune was discovered. Pisces is related to the Moon, Jupiter to the Wheel of Fortune - they get along well here in the sephira Yesod, the sephira of the Moon. And all this is in the watery realm of Briah. So much harmony and luck.
This is the card that closes my week with the Rosetta, while it also gives me the Summer Solstice reading (How lucky I am that I have two versions of this divine deck!). This deck has given me wake-up calls I hope I won't forget. I'll keep this whole reading in an Evernote file. To finish this week off with the wonderful Nine of Cups is another encouraging card that again tells me - in the realm of Venus, my life is doing well. I was blessed and instead of complaining so much about my professional self-sabotage, I should rather count my blessings and take power from my happy relationship.
Yesod is also the sephira of intuition. For me, it's THE tarot sephira. Tarot needs all our faculties, but I feel the real ability to conduct a dialogue with the cards resides in Yesod. On the last day of the week, that's another encouragement - to continue working with the cards, without wasting time on whether I do have the intuition I need or not. It's not a competition, I'll have to do with the intuition I have and not kill it off by doubting it all the time.
Just look at the intense colours of this deck. I love all my tarot decks and thought I couldn't love a deck more than I love the Tabula Mundi, but the Rosetta is a revelation to me.

Re: My Planetary Week #4: June 16 - 22
Friday, focused on love and attraction...and it’s the king of cups! wow!
the first male card this week. and the first person turned towards the future. he looks so gentle and wise......
in the sevenfold lwb it says that he represents emotional maturity, self-fulfillment or finding answers within. i think he is telling me that i can trust the future because i will surely find my answers there. i am really interested in the whale on the king’s shield though. in the alchemical tarot the king has disappeared, leaving the whale to fill the frame. so the whale must contain some very important message..... in his latest book i find this description of the whale
“Because he is a sperm whale, he can spout water from his blowhole and fill his own cup. He is so big and stable that the waves do not unsettle him. He is at home in the sea and he finds his own fulfillment. This card represents the mastery of intuition and the ability to seek our own rewards. The whale, who is secure in his own inner truth, is not upset by the ups and downs of fate or the emotions that fate engenders.”
this makes me cry, because it so aptly describes what/how me and my sweetheart were together. since her death i have been faced with the challenge to be that king of cups all on my own. drawing this card means i must be on the right path.....

thanks nemia for using this deck, i have it too (as well as the tabula mundi) but have not worked with it yet because i felt i needed to study its system more before diving into the cards. you have helped me conquer my stage fright i am going to take the plunge very soon.....
