Fortune's Wheelhouse

Discussions about individual cards, their symbolism & meanings. How the cards combine and speak to us in spreads is another thing altogether! Here we learn about both.

Fortune's Wheelhouse

Post by Joan Marie »

Fortune's Wheelhouse is an excellent podcast.

Mel Mellen (author of Book M: Liber Mundi and creator of the Tabula Mundi Tarot and the Rosetta Tarot) and Susan Chang, (artist and author of Tarot Correspondences, Ancient Secrets for Everyday Readers) have teamed up to present this really lively, charming and info packed study of the Thoth and Rider Smith Waite cards, one by one.

That's right, they did 78 full episodes, each one an in depth discussion of every aspect of each card from those two decks.

Their breadth of knowledge is so impressive. The show feels free form and light ,yet it is so focused and covers so much information clearly and completely.
What I am trying to say is that it's a fun show to listen to and you will get a ton of information from these two scholars of tarot symbolism and history.

I think it's available pretty much wherever you find podcasts. (itunes, spotify, podbeam, etc...)

This format and their use of it really make learning some of the deeper and finer points of tarot easier than ever before.
Did you ever imagine before that you could really study tarot while gardening or cleaning or jogging? It's just amazing to me.

Check out Fortune's Wheelhouse when you can.

They've continued their podcast to discuss the planets and have explored (in a manner of speaking) Saturn last week. Their posts are biweekly now tho.
