What images express the "Tarot Mood" to you?
It's time again for me to make some fresh banners for the home page!
If you have any artwork, photographs or anything that could be used to create the banner at the top of the forum webpage, and you would like to share it with us, you are invited to do so. I am looking for images that convey in some way the feeling of tarot, whatever that means to you. This is the only criteria and it is for you to interpret any way you like.
For me this often means images from nature, sometimes bright, sometimes more moody but I know people here have all kinds of ideas. The important thing is that it means something to you and if it does it will resonate with others.
The art (photos, etc) should be your own, or in some cases like with public domain or vintage photos for example, that you have "made your own" by cropping or adjusting in some way.
The format of the banner, a wide rectangle, means that many images will need to be cropped or otherwise made to fit. If you do not have access to image editing tools, or don't use them, you can send in the whole image and I will make a banner from it.
If you do have access to the tools, like Photoshop and some skills, here are the specs for the banner:
1155px x 162px, resolution: 600 dpi
I will add the Logo and Text, you only need to send in the background art.
Here are some examples:
Send your banner art to: artshare@cultoftarotforum.com or attach it in a PM to me
if you email it, please include your username.
Any questions or comments can be made here in this thread.
Thanks!

Re: Accepting Art for the Header Banner
Just a random note that I love today's banner. I'm guessing this one is from Joan Marie, but whoever it's from, it looks terrific at the top of the site.
In case it's gone when you read this, I mean this one --
(Sorry, I can't seem to make it not distort and look large when I attach a small version, but if you click it you can see properly.)

I came here to say the same thing - it's absolutely perfect. And I know the image but can't somehow identify it right now. Maybe it'll come to me later.

Re: Accepting Art for the Header Banner
I created that banner using detail from a painting by Edgard Maxence (1871-1954) called Bacchante (Autumn)
Today's is from another part of that same painting.
And by the way, thank you both for the feedback. I haven't created any new banners for a while. I think I'll do that soon.

Strangely, I found the painting and discovered that it's not the one I remembered, also that I've never knowingly come across Edgard Maxence before. There's something of a J.W. Waterhouse feel about his work. Lovely.
