.I am Vicente Molina, I´am a painter, sculptor, illustrator, I make short films and animations. I have worked as a professor at some universities and I wanted to share with you the latest work I have done. It is a Tarot deck, that I have been working on for quite some time.
It is the result of a creative process. I do not read the Tarot. As a teacher I started to prepare a series of activities that had to do with Christian iconography. I decided to PREPARE A project that in principle was going to have educational aims. I ended up designing a tarot when I met Kickstarter.
There are cards in which I have chosen pictorial references, for example “the chariot” has the influence of Giotto and his saint Francisco de Asis in a chariot of fire, The high Priestess reminds this Madonna of the Renaissance.
The magician's card is one of my favorites, it is the first one I designed and it is the germ of the process. MORANDI is also the name of a character that I created for my animations.
I definitely encourage the curious to head on over to the campaign and see the cards because they are gorgeous, the colors are softly evocative and the whole project looks very promising.
