We find ourselves right now in the strangest of situations where it is impossible for anyone to make plans of any kind. And any plans we had made are cancelled.

But it is in our nature to make plans. Plans are the step between ideas and action.

Maybe this is the time to think about different kinds of plans. Like thinking hard about how this experience is changing us, how we think, how we behave. Think about planning the kind of people we will be when this is over. Take it from the ideas you have now, to the actions you will remember to take when this is over.

For example, let's not go back to taking everyone and everything for granted. Let's not go back to thinking problems are unsolvable. Let's appreciate the labor of the people who make our lives so easy and who do it with such grace and dignity every day. Let's remember that sometimes everybody needs to just stare out the window, or up at the sky for a while and think, and that it is a basic human need.
