In the menu bar at the top of the page you'll now see a link to emoji codes.
You can copy and paste either the image or the code and paste it into your posts.
Just click the link, make your selection, then use the browser back arrow to return to your post. Alternatively, you could open another tab with the emoji codes. Or really, when you have a few favourites memorised, you can just type in the code.
I'm still looking to improve this, but at least this is more options than that sad little selection we have had up to now.
