Any Druids in the community?

I've just discovered druidry.org and it was revelatory. I got goosebumps. Someone had mentioned Philip Carr-Gomm and the current video on his site just reasonated with me so much - it felt like 'coming home'. Like, how did I not find these folk 20 years ago? Or ten, which is about how long I've actually owned the Druidcraft Tarot...

I'm tempted to 'dive in feet first' and sign up to one of their training programs, but I know what a dilettante I can be - I'll obsess over things for a few weeks then go off chasing the next shiny thing - so I figured I'd sit with it for a while before getting involved. One doesn't rush these things.

Anyone here had experiences with the formal Druidry?

CharlotteK has studied Druidry, I think, but she hasn't been by in some time.

I was a member last year, but I'm in Australia. I've been lead to understand that they're had a very serious en masse exodus due to a slightly widespread rape and pedophilia scandal, which was then poorly managed, regardless of initial validity. The last meeting I attended, they were setting up a public fund to enrol families and children for free, and looking at 'ways to minimise arguing on social media'. Most groves have left. I didn't renew my membership. In terms of content, I'd say Europe probably has better stuff than the adf.org site, which is based in the USA. I think the founding members are recovering Christians. Make of that what you will. There is probably a local grove near you you could get involved with. If you look closely on their website, you'll notice that most key members have only completed their pedagogical training, and not much of anything of the other aspects of druidry. Really it does come down to who can run a ritual that you find worth attending in the end. That's really all that matters.
