took a reflexology course

Post by HOLMES »

I just spent half hour writing up a nice thing on it,, my history,, etc.. but too many back spaces erased the whole post.. so you have to get the condensed version..
I took course 2 weeks ago,,
studied all last week, took my example on Saturday..
and now just waiting to hear if I passed..
mostly because of the extra vacation day,, the test being mailed out wot' get there to tomorrow..
In comparison with my books from 2002,, 1995, and of course mildred earlier books,, the rac chart is pretty comphrensivel, ears on two toes, and eyes on two toes..
so that is what i been up for two weeks ..

Hello Holmes my friend !

Tell us when you get the results. When I was once a Bach Flower therapist, I'd combine it with a Tarot reading for my "patient". I doubt you'd need something like this reflexology but who knows. People who came me to for it knew what they were coming for, because I advertised as such.

You've worked hard. And that you'll have a nice little celebration when the results come through. Regardless of what the result is !

she didn't get the test results yet..

I had a session today from a reflexologist who also was going to be my first practicum ..

so I started the test,, she said I have a natural healing hand as she feels it when I do the various techiques felt the piturary gland right away when I pressed into it..
it was about 1 hour and 37 minutes.. .

i did learn a lot,, discussing little odds and ends with her, my weakest techquie being the thumb walk,, as i want to slide , and rotate more.

hopefully tomrorow find out the results, sure hope i passed ,

did 3 session this week.

Post by HOLMES »

I have done 3 sessions this week on reflexology

1.tired ness.
I found I was surpisingly tired after each sessions,, like after they
left I felt like going for a long nap..
berni the reflexologist who we did each other today said she feels the
same way when she does her sessions.
I say surprisingly for you figure your just doing feet you shouldn't
feel tired.

2. the worm,

I was sharing with other student , who I did a treatment on on Tuesday
that sometimes the blockages feels like a worm , and I have to go fast
to get it..
when she said get in there on her heel as there was something there.
so I moved my thumbs in rabid fashion n her heel , and all the sudden
pushed hard in a spot, and said there it is,, as she cried out.
turns out that spot was the sciatic nerve..

3. the hidden blockage..

I was working on my friend kayla yesterday and her small intestines
area of the foot was easy going,, nothing there..
so I worked the bladder reflex on her left foot , and it turns out she
felt like she almost broke that foot for she couldnt' walk on it for a
week..
so after I activated that, and worked on that a bit..
I went back to her small intestines area and it turned into gritty
crystals , like you press into it and it turns into sandy texture..

4. more blockage story .

I worked on the reflexologist Bernie today.
we talked about the finer tips of reflexology..
she talked about having a sore kidney, and it turns out the kidney
reflex was all bad.. and the urether flow was blocked as I move down
the urether,, it felt like I was moving stones down in small groups so
I made that joke, she believed it but I not say it on the forthcoming
test. for you can't "treat or diagnose " or that is automatic fail.

5. she did hand reflexology on me.
today I was expecting foot work, I was goingto ask for meridian work..
instead she showed me the hand chart and said I am going to do your
hands.. and I forgot I offered myself and I said oh yeah I forgot.

it is kind of like , how you can't tickle your own feet,, that eve do
I constantly do my own hand,, she found several spots I didt' even
know were tender.. my heart.. my bladder.
and the hand chart was different then the old hand charts I used to have.

5. a gift.
she gave me a portable chair that you set up for cliens, for free !!
I can take it to the pow wow maybe or the fair..
and it is easier for me as some will no doubt feel uncomfortable
coming and jumping on my bed in my room.
this way they just lay in my cool ac living room with a blanket over them.

oh it is,,

the one lady who left came out of my room like she had just woke from a heavy nap,, she said "oh I am a parasympthic state , (reflexology talk ) .
the other one looked like she was charged up..

the one lady said in her feedback she slept good, though she had a headache..
and the last lady I worked on said her bladder really helped with her urination.

myself I am thinking when I am done with my 60 , and certified I would move on to meridian reflexology , .
and it must be possible to use quantum touch with the reflexology.. or reiki,, focuse on the symbols at each spot, perhaps..

I will note that Tchalaï suggested that one procure a reflexological chart of the feet, and to minutely examine the feet of the characters of the Tarot in order to understand their posture (and implicitly, derive a significance therefrom).

Re: took a reflexology course

Post by HOLMES »

ok the week started off with myself forgetting I had a client at 1pm and I even wrote it down in the book which was a learning experience to always check my appointment book.

it was a repeat of last week, and she saw a reflexologist on Friday the week before, so there was hardly anything wrong with her..compared to the week before..

then on wensday I had a mother (who took the class with me) and her daughter,, who about 34..
I started off with the mother ,, and the session went well, lots of woman issues, as going through that time in the life , and had hystemy

then her daughter came and I worked on her,, while the mother watched, the daughter used to be a figure skater, and broke her foot,, and was recovering from the pulled ligaments in that foot..
as I worked on the foot , it cracked and cracked, and they were good cracks to her..

and then she worked on me,, and it was kind of funny for she forgot about small intestines.. we also had a small disagreement about hypothalamus gland In the foot, when I read the book later on she was right. , I told her so today

on a lark I picked up my Chinese reflexology book by ingre ,,and I flipped a few pages and there was the spine exactly as it was in my core reflexology book, I took noticed and started skimming it more, and saw the eyes were in the same spot as in the book.
in my core book , there is meridians in extra chapter , so I realized the rac reflexology was more merideans based then I realized..
so I shared that information with my fellow reflexologist student, who was the mother.

so I was supposed have a session with another fellow reflexologist,, and I had an idea
I work alongside her while working on the other reflexologist,, and they switch places and I work along side them,,and then they both work on me,, we all work on a person. alas the one had backed out soo..
I still kept the idea for one thing I felt there would be a lot of benefit working besides me,, as we went through the steps rather then me trying to explain it as she worked on my feet.
so I asked her to ask her coworker who is also a nurse. to be our client. and she said yes.

so I started off on the right foot, and guide her through the left ,(her complaint to me before hand was that she didn't know what to do after the upper part of the right foot ). I focused on telling her the differences between right foot and left ,,
then we switch feet ,and I did the left while she followed the steps , and looked at the picture . that was another big steps for her,, to get away from following the book to the cheat sheet,, (that really helped the others I been told so I didn't even read the book ((pay attention to that part ))

the differences betwee us at the end as jenifer left was big,, my pressure is deep, her pressure was very light,, my thumbs cover more area,, due to her small fingers she was able to be more accurate. . because we were both working on her she didn't say go deeper,, to her for she didnt' want me to go deeper.

I then worked on sue, as the first client , guinea pig,, and I talked a bit about what I was doing.. . she shared with me either earlier or at the end,i don't recall two techiques..
1. the spineal stretch,,
2. the half moon.

which after she left, I started reading the techqiue chapter in number 17 chapter. yes I skimmed it,, before hand but just relied on the cheat sheet , and the diagram..
so I learned the small intestine is worked generally and the fallopian tube, ovary, and uterus are not focused on specifically with the reasoning is they were covered In the small intestine area. up to today I worked exclusively on woman and they for the most part had issues In those places and I ended up working on them anyways when doing the small intestine after working the stomach.
I also learned they don't do the laterial and medial separately for the most part using the half moon to work rectum, anus reflex and behind the ankle bones.. that is easier for until then I worked them separately .
and finally I learned what the spine stretch was,,for til today I did the spinal twist.

conversely,, I been doing an sort of revese spinal twist focusing on the outer foot, and everyone loves it,, .
I also do a part where I hold a point and move the foot ,, that isnt' reflexology based as well, but it helps.

so today I had first my male client.. he had a broken elbow,, and works as custodian for the summer. he almost died from an accident earlier In the year.
after working on small feet,, my hands (which are actually dainty for a man,,and smooth for I don't work, and weak )..
I was having a heck of time getting my fingers going on his feet.. the feet was tougher,, wider, etc. my thumbs were getting sore right away,, but that soreness went away by the time I was done his right foot.

In theory since his right elbow was broken, his right arm area on the foot should be sore when I worked it and it was..
also due to his having to use his left more,, the shoulder muscles on the left foot was more sore.

it was strange, I was working on his eye reflex on his left foot ,, and then all the sudden I almost lost all hearing in my left hear, , it felt like I had a spirit push against my left ear,, blowing on it.. after I worked on his inner ear,, and his ears reflexes,, it went away.

so I was just getting done for the day and I figured I would log on and tell you the story of the week,,
And the mother reflexologist contacted me to ask for a session, I said yes.
she had did four lawns today, and a friend of her had passed away so she said she really needed a session.

I started working away after a snack.. it was a intense session for her, working on the legs reflex, and the spine.. where It concerns the lower back.
as I worked on the spinal reflex on the right left foot, I did the spinal stretch,, and there was a loud pop !!!
I was actually scared for I worried I broke a bone. !
she said that felt so good, and she felt it release in her back she said right after the pop..
I was so relieved.

I was just closing up and felt the lower back in the left foot and all the sudden I started following a spot up her foot (kept moving upwards as I felt the block moving ) I forget now where it moved now,,maybe the kidney, or stomach, anyhow once it stopped moving,, her whole cramped up,,so I push the spots which on my leg cramp up , I feel where it does.. on her shin , afterwards the cramp left..

so I ended off on doing my energy work (I grab both feet keeping my hands in the same spot and do unan chant as I move various ways ) the feedback beent hat they felt goosebumpbs move up,, energy moving up.

and there is the week done.

Well done you for being so thorough. Sounds like you've found one more way to help heal the world.

You probably know this already, but just in case, Crowley listed the following corresponces to the Human Body via the tarot :

Fool - Respiratory Organs
Magician - Cerebral and Nervous Systems
High Priestess - Lymphatic System
Empress - Genital System
Emperor - Head and Face
Hierophant - Shoulders and Arms
Lovers - Lungs
Chariot - Stomach
Strength - Heart
Hermit - The Back
Wheel of Fortune - Digestive System
Justice - Liver
Hanged Man - Organs of Nutrition
Death - Intestines
Temperance - Hips and Thighs
Devil - Genital System
Tower - Muscular System
Star - Kidneys, Bladder, etc.
Moon - Legs and Feet
Sun - Circulatory System
Judgment - Organs of Circulation
Universe - Excretory Systems

Also I remember once a post (but I can't find it - it may have been on the Tarot Study Forum that Anna and I closed and I copied only very few of the threads) - that there is a connection to the spine on the Tarot of Marseilles death card and the womb. If I find it (I often end up by finding things - my filing system in my computer is sort of non-existent) I'll post it here. I have a vague feeling it was the wonderful smleite/Sylvia who I already mentioned once on these boards who wrote it. I wish I could do a magic spell and find her and lure her to the Cult of Tarot. How happy that day would be.

I wouldn't be able to use those,, for reflexology, unless doing a reading before hand I guess ..
the reflexology philosophy is to do the whole whole system.
that said, I didn't know about the body and the tarot system by good old Crowley.
I know the 22 quabbalah letters corresponded to some things like the tweeth,, for example.

Re: took a reflexology course

Post by HOLMES »

ok its been a while since I updated.
I had a pow wow ,, and then I was tired afterwards,, then I was busy doing 3 threatments a day ! for two days..
my clients all today canceled today so I am sitting here, wondering what I can share.. I will just do what ever comes to mind.

1. mediumship.
I was working on a client and I got a grandma energy,,so I asked if she was close to her grandma and she said yes,, her grandma had raised her..
but she wasn't thinking of her. but she was told that her grandma is with her.

2.quantm touch
a person who is a reflexologist that lets me work on her (she has really supported me ) had only an half hour..
so I said I will do quantum touch and chant .(I chatn oom, and unan from supercharging quantum touch ). i thought it would go faster..
instead i went even deeper,, and it turn into an hour and half session almost. (which i don'tmind,, i just trying to speed up her process.
so it is a learning experience that while I thought it would be just as fast.. instead it leaves me to go deeper.
she even said afterwards,, she didnt'mind, she needed the healing.

3. more confident hands.
i figure after 20 sessins a person should be more confident, but she meant that i was letting my natural healing tendencies come through , more flowing more moving.. as i know the routine..

4. making mistakes.
i was on the spine reflex of the left foot when i realized with a big realization,, omg i didt' do the spine reflex on the right foot (but i really worked the right foot how could i forget ). as I looked at my reflexologist, she had a little girl smile (she is in 70s ) she didn't mind I forgot her spine on the other foot for the healing we did focused on the elsewhere .

5. the ending with quantum touch.
what i do is wherever my left hand goes on the right foot, my right hand goes on the left foot, making a circuit like in barbara breennan hands of light. so it has become more flowing i guess is best to describe..
my other fellow reflexology student said that that is what is missing from reflexology the balancing at the end..she really appreciates it..

6.teaching others to do it..
I changed the chant by moving from unan to oom. as I figured that was an universal chant.. and everyone could us it.

one of my fellow students said she feels the bubbles , I nodded approving,, as some have struggled with feeling the under the techiques blockages. perhaps fearful of using to much pressure.

7.my pressure..
i was working on a lady and she said to me "i don't remember u using that much pressure " she open up her eyes and looked at my hand,, there all you saw wasmy finger pressing into the point ,not hard at all.
my reflexlogist used her needle on my head,as she is trained in tan dien.. and where the point goes it is starts at high pressure but as you hold it the pain descreases a bit..she worked on me for hour..she wasjust going to do my ears..

8..my big field in my head.

maybe it because I had a head injury (slide a metel slide into a pole) when I was about 7 or 8..not sure
but ever since I have a very sensitive head field where a person with a piece of metal near my head will cause my head to tickle very much.. it works if someone comes up behind me with a spoon. .
the reflexologist didnt' believe it at first with her little pin (it is a dull pin,i think not like a needle) and i was shaking and i said it is the pin making my whole body quiver,,with tickling energy.

9. reflexolgy honorium event.
i was just notified that a native freindhsip center islookig to giveme 300 honiour for the day. to work on people feet,,and i am not certified yet.. word must be getting around.
i am excited, and happy about that.

little reflexology update.

I did a session on sunday on my second male.

his feet was callused on big toes, but the callus I was expecting on his heels wasn't there. he always wore good boots.
his blockages were all over .. like a 2.5 here, a 3there. .
which over time should reduce if he came back to me or another reflexogist over time.
his wife (friend of mine ) texted me what you do,, he came in and took smellies crap ever. and I said really ? and she said no, but he ran into the bathroom soon as he got here.

I did my fellow reflexologist as she read the book and I went over the reflexes without a chart in my hand.
I showed her some things I was doing..
(I found by hittig the lymphage drainage point in the groin section, somehow the small intestines react so you can get to the blockages better ).
so I was sharing that..

i also tried doing my quantum touch at the beginning as well, just to see if the feet react differnt.. aka more tender spots revealed..
i found when working on her, she didt' have hardly any tender spots.

so finally it was my turn to get reflexology..
we have discuss between some people want gentle , and some would want deep penetrating reflexology..
rac advocates gentle reflexology..
so i was sitting there,, guiding her sometimes,, with try using a circle techique here, try using the knuckle here.. meanwhile sticking to the rac steps.
(they release a laminated guide on their webpage,, latest is 2018, there is some from 2008 with the steps in differnt order ).
it was at the near of the end of the left foot , where i suggest try using the knuckle..and we found big blockage either in my kidney or my adrenal (which is conected to the kidey area ) .. it feels like a deep prentating blockage.. that is good but painful as well.
so i said at the end of the session try the same spot on the right side,,and she did and i felt the deep blockage as well coming out.

which is really good, for i felt some progress was made with my kidneys.

I spent hours looking at you tube video from reflexology.. there is older versions,,
there is the uk method for lack of better term. they had something called the lymph pump,, which involves moving the foot a lot upwards..
i feel there is a lot of value in adding additional techiques later on..

Seems like you've found a new vocation, Holmes. And as usual, you never do things in halves - for you it's all the way and serious ! The gods must be helluva pleased with you. All your previous studies in mediumship and how your intuition has been so finely tuned over the ears must help tremendously. And I'm so thrilled that you seem to love doing this so much. Keep it up !!!!

today I had a session done on me..

the problem areas was the urethers,, and the adreneal on the kidneys sextion.
I feel it is long term chronic condition.

as for after I am done my reflexology,, after talking to two , one on the phone and one by email,, profesisonal dvds makers of reflexology,,
i resolve myself to study myself a great deal more..
one of them said.
"At the end of the day it’s not whose method we have learned, but how effective are we as reflexologists."

Hey do you remember how Umbrae used to do readings with toothpicks and raindrops ? As long as we're in tune with something higher, it doesn't matter which road we take. There are many roads thank goodness. How dull if there were only one. (God how I miss Umbrae.)

sept 4 update.

Post by HOLMES »

the last couple of weeks seems like a blur..
the fair, the funeral, the anniversary..

I did squeeze in two sessions before the funeral.

1. tape on the foot.
the one client had tape on her foot from chiropatcor , so that interfered I feel with the reflexlogy

i was concerned for she said she had an headache afterwards when i messaged her from the wake,, for i worried it was due the reflexology, she had planter facisis or something wrog with her heel.

the other client said she felt so relaxed, and would be there again for the treatment on tuesday. so that was enthusing.

i did think after the funeral. why should i continue etc.. during a down period,, will anyone really pay me 50 for a sessin ?
still i picked myself up.and carried on

I did a session o a new client on Monday,, her feedback was it was like a counselling session sometimes which was good. , and she felt so relaxed the night.
then I did an old client.. when I saw her on wenesday before she was full of life ..
when I saw her just a couple of days later, ,she looked so tire,, and her feet was telling sad story.

2. the pineal gland.

it felt so depleted on her left foot, that i said i am going to hook it,, for it needs to be charged (she is reflexlogist student too , so she would know what i was talking about ). i pushed it firmly on her big toe where the gland was, and she screamed, and i let up instantly concerned.
she said it felt like a 12, (pain scale we use is 0 to 5) and felt it shoot up to her head.
she was alwasy senstive body wise about energy in the feet.
she told me today she felt a lot better, more energy.

then yesterday i had two more clients.

the new client from the week before came by for a repeat,
she was tired and was 20 minute late for rl issues.
i noticed she kept her hands crossed, and i remember how at the fiar the energy flowed better readig when they were no crossed so i asked her to put the hands on the side..
sheis a gentle quiet woman.
she told me today she slept better, and had energy to walk lastnight and today.

the last clientof the day came by for i had my door open, i did her about two weeks before and wassupposed to do her last week but the death in my family happened so since i had my door open, she pop in and we talked..
i actually was going to do her, before the client showed up out of now where,
so she said she would be back at 1 .
and i felt my this other client wouldn't be there as he wasn't on facebook for 18 hours..
sure enough he didn't show and so i did the recurring client.

her feet are arthic ,toes bent to the side, growth on a big toe , and near out the side of one foot.
yet I was able to do more this week I felt then I wasa able to do the week before. she was appreciative of my efforts.

today.
I had one client, who forgot,, she was the one who had the tape on the feet..
she didnt' have it this week, she had give up o the chiropractor approach..
so without the tape I was able to do more for the foot by far.
she even said at the end of the session.
it sure felt like you could do more without the tape on the foot.
and I said yes , the energy flowed a lot better, and I could press In there a lot better.

so that is 5 so far..
alas I have no one really schedule for the week trying to get more down..
I have 28 done..32 more to go. to reach 60.

Oh Holmes, it's good to see you back again. When Holmes is around, the world is always a brighter place.

You're really working hard at your reflexology. And all seems to be going well. Keep on slogging !! You'll make those 60 sessions.

You spoke of the funeral, but people here may not know your stepdad died. You spoke of it at the other place. I hope your mum is managing okay and that she has the support she needs. And that you are finding ways to heal your grief. Love you so much, my friend.

i worked on just 2 people this week..

the first lady was very relaxed, she says it helps her feel energized and more calm.

the second lady was the first time I worked on her.
she had a history of kidney stones..
just touching the left foot warming up I could feel blockages.. like crazy.

soon as I touched the kidney area,, I felt little stones,, all over the kidney bean shape.. and moving them down to the urether.. to the bladder was hard..
on both feet she had to get up and rush to the bathroom. I joked that would happen but first time I saw it happen.

she reported she felt really good, slept good, was sad today for no reason ,.

tomorrow I go to this workshop and work on 5 strangers feets !

I ended up working on 4 people feet that day..

I went to bed at 9 pm,, thinking I was going to sleep to like 5 am or 6 .. instead I woke up at 1230 am, and despite tossing and turning I couldnt' go back to bed ! .

I carried on though and got my honorioum,, and just as important working on people feet to get experience.

I am at 40 peopled now as I did 4 more people this week.

one thing that has stood out is

1. reflexology obiviously doesn't work on everything..
this lady has a heel a problem ,
and she actually had trouble sleeping, and was sleepy today

2. reflexology can affect people the next day.
a curious case of the sore anus..
the reflexes were sore for the anus,, but it was a woman, so It couldnt' be the prostrate..
she said it was sore for about half hour afterwards..
yet she slept really good, she was suffering from insominia.
I figured as this wasn't covered in the course that it had to do with nerves..
aka when you spank a child in the bottom ,, some theorized it affected the nerves of the whole body.
course it depends on how the spanking was.. not talking about child abuse..
course that was older society mentality..
so the that was the only thing that came to me when she told me about it.

I been messaging the majority of my clients to ask how they feel the next day.. the proof is in the pudding they say eh.

I got the routine down to about under an hour. .
yet sometimes it can go 140 minutes depending on if I dont' have to worry about time.

my review was done Thursday..
my biggest problem was the notes,, I am bad at taking notes . .

the second problem was
my confusing tendon with the kidney..
working my upper teeth, I had to do double compressions (from both sides).
I know my routine it is said.. I just have to work on my thumbwalking.

so then I took break Friday, Saturday.
even though I did 41 sessons,, I have to cut out the singles as they need to be 3x at least.
