I know a lot of you in the Northern Hemisphere are suffering through a terrible heat wave at the moment so I thought I would create a banner to help cool us all down a little.
This is from a photo I took on a trip to the Arctic Circle a couple of years ago.

Riiiiight? I walked outside on my porch this morning (NE DC) and had to pause just to enjoy not feeling like I was in a sauna.

It is hot, hot, hot in Vacaville, California which sits geographically between Sacramento and San Francisco.

we are going to get a serious heat wave over here in the netherlands next week, so your banner is sorely needed!
ahhh, my kingdom for some of that ice....! (me and the dogs and cats are already starting to heat up considerably, though the cats seem to be a lot less bothered by it)
