How long till predictions come to pass?

(I posted this on another forum, too, because it's a question so often asked. I notified the mods there that it would be posted on other forums, so this should be okay.)
This is a question that's asked time and again over the years and I always answer as best I can. I don't have a way to keep track of my readings for folks since I read professionally and never see or hear from many of them as their lives go on, but sometimes I do happen to hear what transpires down the road a ways, and that's what happened over the weekend so I thought I'd share it here.
In 2015 I did a reading for a lady who was in a rather rocky relationship. The cards indicated she'd be marrying the man she was involved with but she insisted there was just no way she was going to marry him. It wasn't that he didn't want to marry her. He fervently did want to but she wouldn't consider it. She was the one who adamantly didn't want to make it a legal partnership and couldn't foresee that she ever would even in the future and in fact they broke up within a couple of months. Her objections were that, even though he was staying out of trouble, he'd been in trouble with the law before for years so he had trouble getting and keeping a job. She was from a much better background and even though she did care for him, she was tired of just having to limp along financially and staying with friends, not having their own home, etc. She had become unable to work at the job she usually worked at and was also having trouble finding a job.
Reading for her and telling her the cards said she'd marry this guy actually was uncomfortable for me because it upset her and she insisted it would never happen and there wasn't any way that could change. I've developed a thick skin over the years of reading, but it's still not totally comfy to have an upset sitter, you know? But life marched on. She broke up with him, he went his way and she hers. That was five years ago.
Yesterday I learned that they had reconciled. He proposed to her on her birthday over the weekend and she said yes! They plan a simple wedding in the near future. He's working as and when he can but he's lately learned he has leukemia so even though he's doing well enough right now, that might change. She's been working for several years herself.
So---there you have it. That one was five years in the making and throughout that five years, I wouldn't have bet on their relationship ever standing a chance-----except that the cards said they would and I've learned to believe the cards----but on a personal level, you may know what I mean. We readers don't always read the cards right and I never guarantee my readings are 100%. No reader is that good. However, in this case I did read them right and the wedding is on!
Previously I've found out that readings were fulfilled positively, too. Some after a couple of years, some more, some less. But this one I thought I'd relay while it was still fresh in my mind.
