today i found a diagnosis for my affliction: i am having a bad case of tarot funk....
haven’t touched the cards for 10 days now and still absolutely no desire to do a reading (apart from a draw for my march reading circle)
anybody else here having the same problem?
watched patsy’s mystical musings on youtube and found a remedy: draw oracle cards
so i went for my soulcards, made a generous pile of images that i resonated with, picked 6 and put them on my altar
aaah.... much better....
these cards don’t need to be ‘read’ in any way, they have no keywords, no guidebook, they are evocative, but subtle, not intrusive or pushy
what a relief.....

Re: tarot funk
What a pretty deck.
That's so interesting that they have no guidebook or anything.
Glad you found yourself a cure.

Re: tarot funk
I've only taken my cards out for readings about three times since the beginning of this pandemic. I study them individually as research, but not to do readings. I took them out yesterday to see when the lockdown in Switzerland will be easing. Apparently end of this month, which surprises me, but for the moment, I'll trust the cards.
But reading this thread makes me want to do some more readings. So that's what I'm going to do today. And I'll use a non TdM for a change. The Tarot del Fuego as it's a very colourful deck and colour is what we need right now.
Although I have realised recently that I'm more interested in researching the TdM than doing readings. I get very excited when I'm researching them and see something that no-one seems ever to have noticed. The research I'm doing is necessary for the book I'm writing.

Rumi was asked “which music sound is haram?” Rumi replied, "The sound of tablespoons playing in the pots of the rich, which are heard by the ears of the poor and hungry." (haram means forbidden)
