Le Fol - Stepping into power

I have a new blog on my website and it is something I am quite passionate about. Helping clients step into their power.

From personal experience I know what it is like if you hide your truth, and be what everyone else expects. Eventually it explodes and there is wreckage. That is what my concept of stepping into power is about. The Fool is integral to it. The creation of this card may come from the Jester Tradition. Some threads link it historically, there is nothing concrete, but the tales and history of the golden age of the Jester really speaks strongly when trying to get your client to step into their power. Being treated like a fool so destructive.

Looking where the Fool, Death and the Magician lie in a reading is how I measure this in others. I hope you enjoy the article.

Finally got a chance to read your blog post.

What a story! That gruesome connection between Death and The Fool is so evocative.

It's so true what you say about the price of not stepping into your own power. We often become focused on the consequences of the things we do, and fail to see the consequences of what we don't do.

Thanks for sharing this link Cara.

The Fool is sometimes attributed the number 22, which can ascend into the number 4 (2 + 2), in which case The Fool steps into Power (The Emperor).

Death (13) can also morph into The Emperor (1 + 3 = 4), and so has a connection to The Fool, although via a different path. I've always pondered how ultimate puissance and ultimate night can be intertwined, how one can wield the other in a dance that can evolve into something glorious or decay into something desperate and deadly. I guess that with the addition of the Fool they can create quite a compelling trifecta.

That's a nice article, Cara.

Very interesting article, Cara. It's not my expertise though. I don't read for any clients right now - just myself - but that might change later. So if I ever read for others, this information is something I might remember or come back to (I need long time to digest new things).

I don't know if this is any helpful, but I have a card that I believe improves The Fool - and that is the Queen of swords. She's also good with The Moon.

It's so easy to get lost on the journey, but the Queen of swords and her intellectual and pragmatic attitude can really balance the boat.

Thanks for sharing!
