Ace of Cups and Ace of Pentacles

Discussions about individual cards, their symbolism & meanings. How the cards combine and speak to us in spreads is another thing altogether! Here we learn about both.

Ace of Cups and Ace of Pentacles

Post by Lazybonesjones »

Hi!

I’m new to this forum and to tarot - a friend had started teaching me and now I’m trying to learn on my own. I was just curious how some more experienced people might interpret the Ace of cups with the ace of pentacles? I get these two cards frequently, both upright and reversed, always next to each other but not always in the same order. I get them when I do a general spread, a spread about my relationship and when I do a spread for my partner they come up for her too. It’s probably been consistently since March.
I’ve read up on each card but I see some differences in what they mean both separately and together in varying websites so was just curious! Obviously the universe is trying to tell me something!

Aces are always beginnings, potential - like seeds in a bag that you have to plant, cultivate, water... until they start to grow and develop. If you get these cards often, you have most likely more potential than you realize, and the cards encourage you to ask yourself: where is this potential, what can I do with it? You may be overlooking something.

The Cups talk about feelings, the Pentacles more about pragmatic questions. Opportunities for love or other emotional relationships, opportunities for making money or making projects turn into reality... all waiting for you.

But to say more, one would have to see the whole spread.

What deck are you using? (Aces resemble in most decks but it's interesting nevertheless)

Do you read reversed cards? Reversals can hint to a timing problem.

Another question: do you write your readings down? Maybe you should. Over time, you might see a pattern with these Aces. And then you'll know what they mean for YOU.
