I just got my deck delivered a couple of days ago. I've been looking at it, photographing it, but just now for the first time I gave it a good shuffle and drew my first card:
Hello Queen of Wands.
I feel like she's calling me on that phone, like an ambassador from the deck saying hello to me.
So inviting, so charmed.
Hello deck.
I'm very excited about this relationship.
Happy monday everyone.

She looks familiar.
Everybody wants to be the Empress but only she knows how hard it is.
Like everyone, she is tempted and prone to weaknesses.
And it isn't enough to just be strong. There has to have a certain grace.
The pomegranate seed heart reminds of nature and fertility but it is also a reminder of the price paid for a moment's weakness, for an error in judgement. The Empress carries on though and becomes more beautiful, more refined by her mistakes rather than letting them destroy her.
She's emanates love and finds love all around her, even in grief, in regret, and loss.

The Star always makes me think of re-charging one's self. Just taking in the surroundings without any plan or expectation.
That is petty much exactly how I have been feeling lately. All the time. I simply can't work up the effort to pressure myself.
haha!
There is stuff around the corner. I know, but for now, I need a little star-charge.
