Paulina Cassidy has published three decks: the Paulina, Joie de Vivre and Spiritsong decks. (Oh dear, looking at her website I realize that there is also an oracle - and a new deck in the making.....I'd rather not know that!!!)
I don't have any of her decks and I'm not sure how they work as reading decks. Aren't they too much of a good thing - too busy, too cute, too whimsical? They're very charming and Cassidy's style is unique - it reminds me of children's books and I have high respect for good children's literature and illustrations.
I have this sub-collection of "decks you can easily under-estimate", and some of these decks are among my best and most powerful reading decks - the Silhouettes is one example. I'm right now in a tarot buying moratorium but... you know....
If you have or want any of the her decks, which would you recommend and which not?

Re: Which Paulina Cassidy deck?
I bought Joie de Vivre literally 3 times, and each time found it... Didn't come to life for me. Each time it found a new owner, who was thrilled beyond words at it, but it just never clicked with me. I'm considering picking Paulina up sometime though. I love the art style, but Spiritsong rubs me the wrong way somehow, and Joie De Vivre is apparently just not meant for me lol!

Re: Which Paulina Cassidy deck?
I had Paulina and it moved to a new, more appreciative owner. It's a beautiful, pretty deck but it didn't speak to me. Maybe the busyness was part of it but it just didn't spark anything for me. I'm not drawn to any of her others as reading decks either, though I do think she is a super talented artist.
Re: Which Paulina Cassidy deck?
The only decks of hers that I've worked with are the Paulina and Joie de Vivre, but I loved both of them.
They are certainly busy artwork decks, but for me anyway, there will be a few symbols that will come forth intuitively and the rest kind of fade into the background of the cards based on the reading. The Joie de Vivre is my personal favorite of the two, but they deliver straightforward readings and aren't too harsh, so they're good decks for reading for people who are more sensitive or are new to receiving tarot readings.
The symbolism is more straightforward than necessarily esoteric imo, and they share a decent amount of similarities to the RWS but there are some slight variations in the cards, so it's not quite like a clone.
If you like the Silhouettes Tarot, you'll probably like these.
