Day 1: 15.3. Cybele and Attis Festival - Today is the first day of week-long celebration of Cybele, the great Mother Goddess, and her youthful consort Attis. Today's card talks about love and eros in your life, and how you can celebrate them.

Day 2: 16.3. Gahambar Hamaspathmaidyem - Today begins the Zoroastrian Holiday Gahambar Hamaspathmaidyem, celebrating the life cycle of human beings, from creation to death, and the presence of angels. Today's card connects you to your own path in life and the angel/power/energy that protects you.

Day 3: 17.3. Liberalia - On this day, the Romans celebrated the Liberalia festival of freedom. Today's card tells you how you use your freedom and encourages you to be really free of bonds that limit your personality, talents and longings. What are the bonds you have to break to be free?

Day 4: 18.3. Ugadi - The Hindu holiday Ugadi is celebrated in some parts of India as New Year. Its traditional food represents the different tastes: sour, salty, sweet and bitter. Today's card shows you how to balance the flavours in your life, to be able to enjoy it to the fullest in the months ahead. How can make you make your life more flavourful and enjoyable?

Day 5: 19.3. Minerva Day - Minerva/Athene is the Roman/Greek goddess of intelligence, rational thinking and objectivity. Today's card asks you how you use your intelligence and talents, whether you give them the proper place or whether you feel you have undeveloped potential. What can you do to make the best use of your mental powers and intelligence?

Day 6: 20.3. Spring/Vernal Equinox - This is the day of balance between day and night, when new things grow and push through the earth, when Kore/Persephone returns from the underworld and brings flowers with her. Today's card calls you to contemplate on creativity and renewal in your own life. Where do you resist change, and where should you embrace it?

For Southern Hemisphere tarotists who experience Autumn: what are the wilting things and feelings in my life that I should let go?

Day 7: 21.3. Harmony Day - In Australia, Harmony Day celebrates inclusiveness and acceptance. Today's card asks you to probe your own hidden prejudices, and what you can do to become more open and tolerant. Challenge yourself to inform yourself and get to know cultures, topics or people that until held irrational negative associations for you. How can you become an ambassador for inclusiveness and harmony in your society and immediate surrounding?

Day 8: 22.3. Eostre/Ostara - The Germanic goddess of spring is celebrated with eggs, rabbits and the ringing of bells. Today's card reminds you of a bell ringing in your life, a bell that calls you forward and that you didn't heed or overhear until now. Understand what this bell wants to tell you, and in the coming month, try to make its voice heard.

Day 9: 23.3. Hilaria = The Roman holiday of Hilaria celebrates laughter and fun. Today's card throws a light on the place light-hearted fun and humour have in your life. Do you laugh often enough? The card challenges you to find things that make you laugh and forget your worries, and do them regularly from now on.

Day 10: 24.3. Earth Hour - On this international day, people stop to think about the environment and the use we make of it. Are you doing all you can to keep and preserve this earth? Today's card asks you to find your own connection to the Earth you live on, whether through environment awareness or the voice of your spiritual tradition. How are you connected to this Earth and how can you honour it?

Day 11: 25.3. The Annunciation - The Christian holiday celebrates peace, hope and new beginnings. Today's card shows you where you have to make peace - with memories, people in your life or other painful matters. Let them go and don't beat yourself up any more.

Day 12: 26.3. Preparation of the Temple of Luna - On the final day of our 12 days, we prepare for the annual Roman festival in the Temple of Luna, the Moon goddess. Today's card tells you how you can become more attuned to the intuitive, quiet side within you, how you can make your spiritual work more meaningful, and how to integrate your shadow into your life. It's the message of the Moon for the spring days ahead while the influence of the Sun is rising.

well, this is spot on. my sweetheart died 4 years ago and i’m still grieving. the covid-19 situation brings it all back, because she died completely unexpectedly from an influenza virus that turned into a double pneumonia and landed her in the ICU where she died within a day. there will be no more love and eros in my life, is how it feels right now. those 9 swords have penetrated deeply and it will take years to even begin to heal. but what i can do is celebrate the beautiful time we had together, a connection that many are searching for but only a few are lucky enough to find.

this is what the lwb has to say about the card
“A centipede skillfully winds its way through intersecting swords, narrowly avoiding certain doom. With their many legs and segmented bodies, centipedes signify deep fears that plague both the subconscious and conscious mind. Some are venomous while others are perfectly harmless, though it may be impossible to tell at a glance. The Nine of Swords tells
us that we are entering a period of fear and anxiety, but through careful consideration, the danger may in fact be as tangible as a fading dream.
When upright, the Nine of Swords signifies the deluge of anxieties plaguing the user to the point of keeping them up at night. You are ruminating on them, fixated on everything that could go wrong. Obsessing over your anxieties is a double-edged sword. If you allow yourself to give in to fear, your worst nightmares may, in fact, just come true. Thankfully, much of the fear causing your sleepless nights resides only in your head. Try to replace negative thoughts with positive ones, and reach out if you struggle to remain optimistic. Lean on those you trust to steer you towards a positive solution. The best way to combat the monsters under your bed is to turn on the light.”

another nine.... but a much less depressing one....

from the lwb:

“A royal poodle sits on a cushion with a jeweled collar around its neck and nine ornate cups arching above its head. Originally a hunting dog, poodles are incredibly smart, tactically minded animals that work hard to catch their quarry. This poodle is well-groomed, luxuriating in the comfort its hard work has earned it. The Nine of Cups asks us to enjoy the fulfillment our labors have yielded and to remember the work that went into making it all possible.
When upright, the Nine of Cups encourages the user that a desire will be met or that a goal will soon become a reality. All of your hard work is about to blossom into something prosperous, and you will be well rewarded for your patience. Enjoy whatever happiness you’ve recently found. Bask in the contentment. This position is also an invitation to luxuriate in life’s bounty. Treat yourself to a new trinket or some self-care. Pamper yourself and take some time to count your blessings. As great as it all feels now, remember that this is a temporary state of bliss. Appreciate it while you have it, and make sure you do so to the fullest.“

enjoy the fulfillment of my labors.... well i have recently invested all my money in a brand new kitchen with lots of professional appliances, and have just cleared my diary as a consequence of the social lockdown that has been announced yesterday so i will have plenty of time to do just that.... i plan on cooking up a storm in the next couple of weeks, even if there will be nobody around to share it with.... ‘t will probably all end up in the freezer

and it’s swords again....like on sunday

really appropriate, i need to break free of limiting thoughts, i need to stop thinking myself into a blind alley..... i can ‘get out’ when i am willing to change my perspective.
from the lwb

“A sleeping mole is nestled within a small burrow, held in place by eight jabbing swords that seek to keep it trapped where it lays. Moles are blind, living their lives underground in the dark. They symbolize self-imposed restrictions, but if the mole were able to see, it would find gaps large enough to slip through. Escape is possible, but only if one acts under their own volition. The Eight of Swords reminds us that we are able to escape our confinements so long as we open our eyes to see the gaps in the cell bars.
When upright, the Eight of Swords indicates that you’re feeling restricted and trapped by your present situation. Perhaps your job may be draining
you dry, a relationship you’ve entered has swiftly turned abusive, or other
like situations. Your options may feel limited, but they aren’t. Seek out new perspectives and rid yourself of unproductive thoughts and intentions.
Once you realize which directions you can go, commit to a decision and understand that, even if you have no guarantee of success, attempting to find happiness elsewhere is better than remaining trapped in the hellish hole you’re currently in.”

i think i disagree with some of this. the mole is one of my totem/spirit animals, the signs of their existence are everywhere around me, i see them almost every day. i even have one of them in my garden. i don’t think that the mole needs to be able to see, or that i need to ‘open my eyes to see the gaps in the cell bars’. the essence of a mole is that it has ‘chosen’ blindness, in order to be able to live underground and it had to develop other senses in order to survive. i think that the mole can teach us to do likewise, when we are blinded/blindfolded we have to stop relying on our eyes in order to be able to escape our confinement or exceed our limits. just this morning i found an upturned gnome lying on the soil, ‘my’ mole had pushed it out of the way and turned it over when it dug out of its tunnel....   it made me laugh!
here’s the gnome restored to its former glory, only a little bit the worse for wear
