The Golden Hermetic and Fortune Telling (GHaFT) Tarot deck is a traditional 78-cards Tarot deck on 70mm x 121mm, 2.75" x 4.75" smooth, 300gsm professional quality card stock. Far as I know, it is the first Tarot deck printed with embossed high gloss technology.
The addition of raised high gloss printing with a touch and feel dimension to the cards make the difference! The added gloss to specific/selected design elements of the card brings out the artwork to life. Also, a special varnish for these cards makes they handle and shuffle smoothly just as beautifully as they look.
To some extent, the GHaFT Tarot deck is a modern re-rendering of the legendary Papus deck. The drawings of Gabriel Goulinat inspired most of the Major Arcana cards.
The Court Cards follows the style, touch and woodcut feel of the Tarot of Marseille, while the design of the Numerals is geometrical pattern based which facilitates identifying the cards and the connections between the cards easily.
