(I ramble, so I bolded the important bits.)
I have the Tarot of the New Vision and Faery Godmother oracle I'm seeking to trade.
The latter is brand spanking new, I just hate it (lmao). I could try working with it, but AAAARrrrgh. I will take pictures.
The former isn't brand new, but it's barely used. However, it's a Lo Scarabeo deck, the box is a little meh and the cards are very slightly flaked at the edges. I would mainly get it out to show to folks who know tarot and laugh at their reactions. For me, it's worth keeping just for that, but I don't know as many folks now who know their cards well, so I don't get to do that as much anymore
and this was also before I knew about deck unboxings on youtube. Still, it makes me sad. It's really funny watching people's eyes bug out. v_vNot surprisingly, I did a deck interview with it and it said it's most important trait was the Hanged Man.
I personally just don't like the painting style, which is kind of unusual for me to be particular about. I only have the deck, not the bookset, but the LWB is, of course, included. The creators seem to have had more intentions for it than just flipping your perspective, and use recurring symbols (why horses???) and scenes that confuse me sometimes. I expected it to be surprising and goofy, but mainly it was surprising, clever, "Ooooh woah," and "Why??" It's a fun deck to bring to Tarot parties.If I was a collector I'd keep it, literally only for the chance to laugh at readers when they saw them, but I'm not. If I'm not using it, I want someone else to have it who will.
I'll post pictures here when I'm home. There's a deck trade at the local witchy shop I'm going to on the 22nd, so if it isn't traded here by then I'm hoping it will be there.
I have a wishlist in my profile, but these aren't worth most of them monetarily. So, I'm open to any tarot, oracle, therapy card decks, etc, so long as I mostly like them. I'm also fine with having a 'trading deck,' in my collection, where I try and trade out decks until I find one I really like. Or, until I find one to give to someone I know who will love it. So if you have a deck you don't like much, or are willing to part with, let me know. I'm in the Southeast, US.
