I have been reading taot for around 6 months... I also have Aspergers Syndrome Autism BUT I found this ehlps me read tarot in a different way and think outside the box As that's how my cognitive mind works, outsside the box
.....It helpeed me remeber all the 78 cards in about 4 days time.... So to me its a blesssing.
I have a real ying/yang thing going on with decks. I love the dark ones yet like the Anget Tarot decks too.
Looking to join in any circles or practic group and gain confidence.
I have an interest in Egyptian Tarot and Thoth tarot too and looking for guidance on Thoth.
It used to freak me out I liked the darker decks too but now I have a tiny bit more understanding I simply ppreciate the creative aspect of the different artworks of each deck.
I am turning into an online auction site trauler and deck hoarder LOL..
Hope to speak to you all soon, Have a womderful day,
Edward

What an interesting introduction !
Welcome. I joined very recently myself. So am still exploring and getting used to the place. It's nice here. Not very busy but it's kind of peaceful and there are good vibes !
I love Liverpool. Great town !!!
If you can work out of the box, you'll get on like a house on fire with the Tarot !!!
I know little about the Thoth but enough to believe, from what you said in your introduction, that you'll get on fine with it. And who knows then where your Tarot path will lead you. The Journey has just begin !! Enjoy !!!!

Hi Edward! So nice that you have joined us.
Most of our reading circles and groups open up at the beginning of the month. There are a few to choose from and I have been meaning to start a Thoth one. I will try and do that for June.
There are a few good threads on Thoth here so I hope you enjoy those.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a good look 'round and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi Edward, and welcome.
I agree, from personal experiences with people, that Asperger's confers certain advantages.
So does science. This is really, REALLY worth the time it takes anyone to read it.

I'm not saying that everyone with Asperger's can do miracles. That would be like saying that because Roger Allsop swam the English Channel at 70, everyone should be expected to do similar feats at that age. No! I intend to take my retirement in my 60's, thank you very much, and putter around the house and yard! No feats of physical endurance for me.
But I could never accomplish this - Cat Yronwode is a self-confessed Aspie. And she is amazing:

We have a Spurs, too, but it's a basketball team.
