Re: "Twelve-House Tarot Spreads" book release

wonderful, I just ordered a copy! I enjoy doing a variation of a 12 house spread sometimes but find it difficult to remember the meanings of the houses  and I'm in for any explanations of Etteilla spreads in English!

Re: Progress Update Star & Crown

I forget - does crowdfunding take a fee if the project is not funded?

If not, I think it would make sense to try crowdfunding first, and if the goal is not met then POD instead. any "promotional material" for the crowdfunding could be used to advertise the deck itself for POD

Work in Progress - a "clue"

Hi everyone! I have an idea I'm working on for a card, and I want to check first of all that nobody's doing the same thing, and that it makes sense (unclear whether that can be possible at this stage, I'm not one of those people who can think in words and sentences so apologies for rambling). In the...

Re: Joanna Newsom tarot - court cards

i finished the court cards for CUPS, here they are! the suit of cups is based on the album "ys" the page is based on part of "sawdust & diamonds" ("the little white dove, made with love, made with love, made with glue and a glove and some pliers") the knight is base...

Re: Joanna Newsom tarot - court cards

These are absolutely exquisite and I sense behind them a lot of insight and detail. I'll have to take the time to listen carefully to the lyrics of the songs - I mentioned once that I don't really understand Joanna Newsom's songs - and then I'll understand your cards better. I hope you'll be showin...

Joanna Newsom tarot - court cards

hello! i've been working on a tarot deck based on lyrics by the songwriter joanna newsom. it's kind of niche, but i figured i could post at least the court cards here as they're based closely on the tarot de marseille court card poses (sans horses). i have three suits done now, and each suit is base...

Re: Convos Tarot of Marseilles by Otto Spalinger

i really love this deck! i think the best part is the faces, they are so expressive and funny. XIII's teeth and the moon's surprised eye made me laugh out loud when i first opened it (that's never happened with a tarot deck before). i found it on ebay in december for $10 (the box was destroyed and i...

Re: Book of Thoth Etteilla

i have a question on trumps no. 1 and 8. even though there are some divinatory meanings it looks like most sources say to remove no. 1 and replace with 8 for a female querent, and the opposite for a male querent. in your experience do you stick to the base meaning of "querent" or have you ...

Re: Halsey and Tarot

Here is the link to her website. https://www.svetadorosheva.com/project/tarot-cards It seems the record company used her art to create card collages, one for each song on the album. The deck isn't a complete deck, yet, but she's planning to finish it. The website has more info and pics that is real...

Re: Decks that rename cards

i prefer decks that remove the names altogether. if you're going to expand the meaning of the card with different aspects, why not keep it "expanded" instead of locking it down again into a new name?

i looked it up and the single covers are all collages of cards... i think only one of them is from the ones in the first post

Oh, well if you can give us some work in progress of your pre-work in progress, that would be wonderful ! A really worthwhile project you're working on. Re: Book of Thoth Etteilla

Any work in progress that we can see to have a privileged preview ? I like the idea for the minors. It would make for a very nice connection between these two traditions that are after all in the same family. Similar genes. oh i'm not confident enough yet to have done any etteilla-based illustratio...
