Re: All Finished Work: Star & Crown
Well, I am excited. I just sent my artwork for the card backs to Joan Marie. I hope she likes it!
Also working on a card that I'll be submitting next week. I'm excited about that one, too!

Re: CoT Oracle Deck Project, Sign Ups OPEN!
Sign me up for a card, please. I have not yet read through this entire thread, but will do so today. And will check out the technical thread, etc., as well. I just moved 400 miles from where I lived for most of my life, and the process of moving and settling in feels like a rebirthing in many ways. ...

Re: I Am So Happy!
Hiya! I've searched around but couldn't find what I was looking for - is there a list somewhere that tells us who made each final card? I'd love the link if there is! Thanks!

Re: Reading Reverse
I don't bother with reversals, basically because I read intuitively. I think that reading reversals makes more sense if one reads using "traditional" meanings that have been commonly ascribed to the cards - although I still probably wouldn't bother with them if I read that way. I also disl...

Re: Hi! Which deck to start with?
A lot of people say a beginner must start with either the classic Rider-Waite (with art by Pamela Colman-Smith) or the Thoth decks, but I don't think that's necessary. Out of the ones on that page to which you linked, I would say either Tarot of the Old Path or the Pre-Raphaelite Tarot. They are bot...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Yeah, the artwork - not my cup of tea. But the cards were just so thin and slick, like something I imagined one could pop out of a magazine. The shiny finish probably bothered me almost as much as the imagery! . . . . I wouldn't use his decks even I were paid to do so I think. . . . But lots of peop...

Re: Intuitive tarot readers - questions and poll
Hello all, I just joined this forum (I posted a little bit about myself in an intro thread). I saw this topic and figured I can jump in here, since I primarily read the tarot intuitively. When I first started getting into tarot, about 40 (!) years ago, I bought a big thick book on it and tried reall...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Oh! Sorry, mine was the French version of Ciro Marchetti's Gilded Tarot. Tarot d'Or was all I could remember about its name - that was on the box - and I could not recall the artist's name either. I was going to say it was the Golden Tarot but knew that wasn't right, so I just looked it up. I really...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Welcome to CoT, Blissful. You've got me curious. Which deck was this first one, and what are some of the other 8 decks that you have ? The first deck I bought is the Rider-Waite. I'm not home at the moment, so hopefully I'll remember correctly the names of the rest of my decks. In no particular ord...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Hiya peeps, I started reading Tarot cards when I was a teenager, back in prehistoric times... er, well... the late '70s. I still have the first deck I bought, though I prefer to read with others that I own. I'm not a collector. I have about 8 decks and that's plenty for me. I read intuitively, and s...
