Re: Upright/reversed
Charlie, You are so right! I would never, ever deface a Flornoy deck. Thanks for catching that. My bad! Great suggestion on using a ben-Dov deck. In his book, ben-Dov actually has a wonderful method for folks who want to continue using reversals with a TdM. Cheers! Belenus Buy ben-Dov book, check. ...

Re: Are we pulling the cards all wrong for our spreads ?
That is a really interesting idea. Instead of putting the card back and reshuffling, what if you used a different deck for each position? Or just dealt from multiple decks for each position? I’ve been feeling drawn to that lately, and I am seeing a fair number of repeats. I treat the multiple cards ...

These are wonderful sites, and now I need to look for the book as well. (I really wish Dame Fortune’s Wheel used Etteilla’s trumps.)

Book of Thoth Etteilla
Anybody else have this deck or have studied Etteilla? I just got mine yesterday and am fascinated and would love to talk to people about it. I also picked up a copy of Paul Huson’s book on the Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot, because it’s Etteilla-based, or at least the minors are. I’m really loving Ette...

Re: How to pick an Oracle deck for ourselves?
There’s an app for Magic Map (and a number of others) so you can try it out for free for a week to see how you like it. I just bought The Answer Is Simple that way. Still haven’t bought an actual, physical oracle deck, though.
Here’s my favorite card from that deck so far:

Re: Hi! Which deck to start with?
Hi everyone, I am pretty new to tarot cards after recently receiving a reading from someone and becoming hooked haha. I have been looking about for a deck of my own but not really sure which one is best for starting out as I obviously dont want something difficult I wont be able to understand. I am...

Re: Spacious Tarot - thoughts?
This deck feels like the non-peopled companion to the Light Seer's tarot to me! I'm very tempted but hubby has been laid off for the winter and I really ought not buy decks until he's back to work in there Spring! To me it feels like a sister deck to the Gaian Tarot that is *much* easier to shuffle...

RWS definitely has Golden Dawn influences, so there’s at least some of their version of Kabbalah in it. I’m in no way an expert, though, and this is not a Pronouncement From Authority (TM).

Crone energy doesn’t have to be dark. I’ve been one for a little over a year now, and I aim to be a scandalous old lady in vivid colors.
For my personal experience of cronehood, the Herbcrafter’s Tarot feels the most apt.
