Re: When my readings end up being all about me
Hey there! Thanks everyone for the replies! I appreciate your views on this. It seems like I have found a way. I do the readings for myself more often (a daily card, for example), so my Guides have a chance to inform me on what they see as important for me to know. I tried out free readings for tot...

Re: When my readings end up being all about me
To a lesser degree, I do this too. Maybe not so specifically, but my readings can be generic, and reflect my worldview rather than being straight channeled information. I feel it's usually a mixture of the two, parts are pretty on point but other parts are clearly me just saying what I would do or h...

Re: Figuring out self-protective approach to shadow work
Two youtubers jump out at me as having good videos and talks about shadow work, Teal Swan and Matt Khan. I think Teal may have a book on the subject but I'm not sure, Matt is good at making shadow work seem less scary, and showing us we are not here to remove the shadow, but to transform it into th...

Re: All the Cards : Button Soup Tarot
I didn't know what to make of this project of yours when I first came on this forum. To me it looked way too all over the place and I was like "What a weird deck" But looking at it with a fresh set of eyes? My opinion has totally changed, and I'm not just saying that I mean it! The heiorop...

Re: Be patient with yourself!
I'm literally learning this lesson right now. I did EXACTLY what you said in the initial post, about memorizing the cards in about a month, and then expecting to be able to read in the next few weeks, I'm IN those weeks now, and I've found that only one of my decks seems to read for me, the readings...

Re: X-The Wheel of Fortune (RWS)
Nice thread! Lots of cool insights into this card. I'm pretty new to the world of Tarot but I'm also finding myself with a budding interest in astrology and I find that the wheel hits me a lot harder when I relate it to that. I understand the misgivings about it showing us as "we are slaves to ...

My dialogue for the astral pasta mother's question.
"Oh YOU weren't allowed in the Stevie Nicks cover band either?" "No, and it's tearing my heart out!"

Re: Composition - arrangement - order
I'm guessing it's ok to reply? I enjoyed this. You are correct that when it's spelled out it seems sort of, obvious what you are describing, but you are also correct that I just wouldn't be truly noticing these things if you weren't pointing them out. It's kind of like when you realize you're feelin...

Re: Ace of Wands (RWS)
I have only been studying tarot for a couple of months now and I've had trouble discerning the differences in the aces. When they come up in readings I'm like "well it's... it's good! It means umm... good stuff is coming! And uhh.. yeah! All good!" LOL But I do see how the source of the ma...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Hi guys! So I have always been fascinated by magic and the occult, but being a sincere christian most of my life I never allowed those feelings to go past a quick glance or a thought before I would hammer down my curiosity with the fear of it being evil or devillish. However much has happened in my ...
