Re: Dirt cheap Tarot readings - what do you think?
Honestly, I would never price my readings that low. I've put in years of practice honing my skills and my prices reflect that. It definitely does create a rift in the market. I've had clients throw cheap readers in my face but the truth is, most of the times you get what you pay for. I have purchase...

Re: Share your Social Links here
The main social media I use for tarot is instagram. My link is www.instagram.com/kat.and.the.moon.tarot
It's mostly for monthly challenge posts, but I have started doing weekly pick a card type readings to help grow an audience.
Let me know you're from the forum and I will follow you back!

Re: How to ask the deck correctly?
I prefer to ask open-ended questions, but if I need a yes or no I'll consult the cards for that, too. Usually I try to word the question as specifically as possible to make sure I'm getting the information I want. When it comes to asking for advice, I like to leave it open and not nattoe down my opt...

Re: decks that can only be read intuitively
If a deck has no links to traditional meanings is it still a tarot deck. I am not saying that it won't work but is it a tarot. Does it matter? inomminate I think as long as it follows the traditional tarot structure, it should count as a tarot deck, but that would mean that it would need some root ...

Re: Ostara Tarot? (and what's on YOUR wishlist?)
The Ostara is pretty, but it didnt speak to me. It sits on my shelf more than I use it tbh. I tend to prefer decks with a little more edge though.
My current wishlist is empty because I've bought every deck I've wanted so far...not the wisest choice perhaps but it was worth it.

Re: Coaxing the Tarot Muse
For me, reading tarot is infinitely easier than trying to finish the novel I'm working on. I find that I dont need the creative muse nearly as much with tarot, perhaps because I read more analytically.

Re: Do you read for yourself?
I will read for myself on the off occasions, but every now and again I'll pull daily cards for practice or out of boredom. I just read them like I would for anyone else, but I'm also able to remove myself from the reading and analyze only the cards. If you're really emotionally invested in a reading...

Re: Never gonna give, never gonna give, give you up
These are the decks I could never give up to save my life:
Deviant Moon
Ceccoli
Pagan Otherworlds
Marigold
Tattoo Tarot (both the Eight Coins and Ink & Intuition decks)
Rosetta
Thoth
I'd be sad to see the other decks go, but these are ones I absolutely could not let go of

Re: Decks Similar to These?
Might be a bit late but the Marigold is certainly a great option. The Lovers card is two genderless (imo anyway) skeletons If she likes bones and a gothic feel, this is certainly a good deck for consideration the price is over what you're looking for, but you can always get her an Etsy giftcard to p...

Re: Which Paulina Cassidy deck?
The only decks of hers that I've worked with are the Paulina and Joie de Vivre, but I loved both of them. They are certainly busy artwork decks, but for me anyway, there will be a few symbols that will come forth intuitively and the rest kind of fade into the background of the cards based on the rea...

I choose decks more based on the topic of the reading than who I'm reaching for, so I use the same decks whether its for myself or another person.

Re: Intuitive tarot readers - questions and poll
I have seen people who read purely on intuition be successful readers and I attribute that to a deck becoming attuned to a reader in a sense. I'm a believer that the universe will get you the answer, no matter your reading style. However, I prefer a combination of "book" learning and intui...

Re: What's in your bag?
Right now I have the mini Rosetta in a tin, the Tattoo Tarot, a pendulum, and some clear quartz in my bag. I always carry a deck with me because you never know when you'll need one! It has certainly come in handy and giving some quick readings while I'm out is how I made quite a few customers.

Re: Alice in Wonderland tarots
>You can really get lost in this world, it seems so accessible... but sadly it isn't, at least not for me. Does anyone have this deck? How does it read? How do the worlds of Wonderland and tarot meet? Not to be too much of an enabler, but the deck reads beautifully. You will certainly need to know a...

Re: Your first deck
The first deck I bought was the Thoth with the 3 Magus cards when I was ~13 years old. I honestly think the deck chose me in a way, although I was really drawn to the imagery. The shop owner must have known how much I had in my pocket because the price was exactly what I had left of spending money! ...

Re: Why you use your deck
I will usually bring 3-5 decks (depending on the size of the event) and let my clients choose what deck they prefer. If it's a smaller event, I bring a TdM, Thoth, and RWS deck. If it's a larger event, I'll bring those 3 along with a dark and a light deck. I've had a lot of clients pick the TdM or R...

I also enjoy the Ritual Abuse, Night Sun, Neon Moon, and Bosch decks. The Russian Black Tarot is lovely, too (Link to an image: https://www.picclickimg.com/00/s/NTkzWD ... ian-_1.jpg)
