Re: Different interpretations of the 8 of cups
I just pulled another one. It's interesting how the 8 of cups in the Thoth has yet a different message. "Indolence," that card is called. It has a heavy feel to it, portraying the lethargy that, I guess, it is meant to show. It feels a bit depressive. Wallowing in negative feelings. And ye...

Re: Different interpretations of the 8 of cups
A deck I use often if I want a full image deck is the Breugel Tarot. The Eight of Cups in this I interpret as "A secret benefactor at work". In the card shown, the secret benefactor is in the background dropping a heart into a vessel. It is less about someone giving money, gifts or food e...

Re: Hi!
New to the forum. I love tarot. Everything from Sola Busca to Game of Thrones. Right now I am studying the trumps. Mostly I pick one trump and look at it in a number of different decks. As important as the cards are to me, this is mostly for my own amusement. Hi Thomas! Nice to meet you here! It so...

Re: Different interpretations of the 8 of cups
Oh, these are all so very interesting! And the Golden Botticelli and Libra's illustration so different from the other ones.
Leap for the stars with it! I love it!
And the Hermit following the 8 of cups - that makes so much sense! It opened a whole new dimension to me.

Screenshot_20190311-120612_Instagram.jpg Here's one that I had, copy-pasta'd from insta: Let's talk a bit about the 8 of Cups. Or - not talk - but feel. Take a moment. Close your eyes. Find your pulse, the movement of blood through your veins. Be with your pulse for a moment, and the steady beat. N...

Different interpretations of the 8 of cups
I had a great reading here recently and it made me obsess a bit over the 8 of cups. I'd be curious to hear from you how YOU see the 8 of cups, especially in decks that you love or find interesting. The 8 of cups that I looked at yesterday was from the Old English Tarot. Here is what came to me: Thre...

Re: ISO Doubts Story Tarot by Naiyuan
This deck had been discontinued in the market. It's nearly impossible to purchase this online now. Even there is pre-loved deck or so, it also will go on in mandarin website or taiwanese websites. Unless you have friends from taiwan, maybe can look for those old bookshops. It was a deck that collab...

Re: The Devil whispers into the Bishop's ear - A tarot origin
How did we attribute meanings to the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana? My research led to a very interesting possibility. It is on my website. I do hope you enjoy it. https://secret-tarot-garden.com/2019/03/10/the-bishops-inspiration/ With esoteric Hugs, Cara xx Fascinating. It would be interesting to...

Re: What's the Deck-Stork bringing?
One of my closest friends has moved into a palliative stage. She is giving away things. She gave me "her" deck, the Golden Rider Tarot, the first deck she ever used, many, many years ago. She also gave me the Old English Tarot, a deck I bought for her, and the Daughters Of The Moon Tarot. ...

Re: Solution for ridiculous US to Canada rates?
I have a friend in Canada who I send packages to - luckily, she lives quite close to the border, so I send them to a US address she uses to just cross the border periodically and pick up. I wonder if it would be feasible to find someone who lives in a similar situation and whether it would be cheap...

Re: Solution for ridiculous US to Canada rates?
My point though is that if you put 18 cards into a regular letter envelope they are likely to be damaged by the automatic mail sorter. My sister just sent me a tiny little book, about the size of a Lenormand deck, overseas from the US and they told her at the post office that because it wouldn't be...

Re: Solution for ridiculous US to Canada rates?
From the US perspective, if you reinforce the envelope so that it won't bend, then it can't go through the automated machines and you are charged a higher rate. A normal letter would be around $3 and change that way, domestic. No, you'd have to find a way to put about 18 cards into a regular letter...

Solution for ridiculous US to Canada rates?
Hi - sending a tarot deck from the US to Canada can be more expensive than the deck itself. I was just wondering - for smaller decks, might it be worthwhile to divide a deck into, say, 5 letter-sized envelopes? An envelope to Canada is only $1.15, as opposed to the slowest shipping method for a smal...

My question :- How to stay charm and attarctive even i am not beautiful at all? From a random page from a book of poetry: "She has dawn's golden tresses curled in the palm of her own hand circling her own knuckles" It seems to me that that this sentences says you do have charm and beauty ...
