Re: Consuming the Tarot
For a bit over four decades, I've maintained that one of my life goals was to help bring tarot out of the backroom amidst the various labels of "occult", "witchcraft", and "devil worship" to name a few) and into the mainstream where people will consult their daily card(...

Re: CoT Oracle Deck Project, Sign Ups OPEN!
I woke up with an idea for another card. Is there still room? And when are they due? Hi Pamela! Yes there is room for another card from you! The soft deadline I have set is end of September. I will try to get started this week. We're now on the final edits for the Eternal Seeker and I've been meeti...

I think I should do this.
Driving to work today, my invisible companion suggested I create an image to express the tumultuous tsunami of emotions bombarding my existence right now.
This should do it.
Count me in, please.

Re: Tarot Certification Courses?
Depending on what your focus is regarding reading the cards, courses can be helpful when learning and/or furthering your knowledge. But I don't consider them mandatory. There are multiple tarot paths available. Choose the one(s) that resonate with you and follow them. But IMHO the answer is "no...

Re: Naming the CoT Deck
When you started the Cult of Tarot, it was to fill the gap left by the Aeclectic site closing up shop. Solandia was the heart and soul behind that site, and many of us (me included) will be forever in her debt. I'm going to suggest the name "Aeclectic Tarot" in honor of Kate and all she's ...

I think I have time to do the Knight of Cups. Today's Mom's 85th birthday and when I stopped to get flowers, there was a ceramic statue that inspired the Knight.
I should have time to finish another one. This one's not being "elusive" like the Empress.

Re: I think I deserve a new deck. Suggestions?
I think the Steele Wizard Tarot is on-site somewhere. If you're familiar with the RWS protocol you won't need the guidebook. The single-deck does come with a pdf download from the website where the set has a companion book. The link is to an Amazon page that ships internationally. I had to move my d...

Re: Another Frame Option: CoT Deck
I think a more neutral color, like the greys, would better suit the variety of art we're going to be dealing with in this deck. That color or even a medium sandstone brown with the gold inner line such as you have in the bright yellow ones. I try to avoid more vibrant greens, as you can see in the E...

I'd be happy to create an Empress card for the deck. Is there a theme or any particulars for this project?

Re: A Forum Wide Brainstorm Session
There're lots of new spreads being developed as well as old favorites. Do we have a spot for those?
