I think I heard the (black) silk thing comes from the Solomonic Grimoires....I cant remember where I heard this though. I’m assuming it was in reference to magical tools in general. The other gift thing I’m not sure.

Re: New CoT Crown & Star Oracle, What do you think?
I like the idea and it's ambition too. It feels good and fractal and cohesive. I personally don't quite associate crown with earth (royalty always feels kinda removed from earthly concerns to me - feels more airy or divine-adjacent like a pharoh or holy emperor) but the name is cool. When I think of...

Re: Identifying time and emotions in R.W.
Depends on what system you use. Some do it where the different suits correspond to different time measurements like wands or swords are days, weeks, etc. I think a minority incorporate the golden dawn astrology attributions (the minors each correspond to a 10-day segment of the year). Some do it rel...

Hey y’all. I really appreciate the support and kindness y’all are sharing towards me and each other. Thank you for the bottom of my heart. And Joan Marie, I hadn’t realized this post was in relation to COVID originally. I’ve been pretty hair-sensitive and having trouble disengaging from news and suc...

Re: Thanks everyone
I'm sorry Joan Marie. But if we remove the political from the affair, we're missing the point. This isn't about us and our instinct for self-preservation. This goes much deeper than that. If we refuse to see that, well, like I often say, our tomorrows will be no better than our yesterdays. This is ...

Re: New Deck Announcements
I couldn't figure where to put this topic... I thought it would be a good idea to have a topic to post announcements for decks we were interested in. I recently mentioned I had made a pre-order of the Fantastic Menagerie re-issue that had gone unawares by @AstralPasta, which I thought was unaccepta...

The Emperor had really struck me watching the flip through! Well done! 😁🎉🎉 Collage is always a mysterious art to me. My partner is great at it so I’ve learned to appreciate the skill and eye for composition involved. I know they said they weren’t Aeclectic and all but for some reason the deck really...

Has the Baba Studios Fairytale deck been mentioned? It’s OOP but considering the Fantastic Menagerie reprint, might be a wishlist deck. Thanks! It ended up being more of a thing than I expected haha 😅 I need to learn about controlling scope myself. It is similar! Wow, even the font is the same (in the original)! I took a gander and luckily I prefer the recent edition, haha (also lucky you for having that, handmade is so special). Ot...

The Tabula Mundi, finally, mid size! I haven't bought a deck in a long time. Also included Book M and Book of Seshet, though I don't have the Rosetta. I've heard it's good as a standalone. Excited about the size. I hope it's not too small. Though I won't be able to really open it for a long time, un...

Re: What Makes a Good Oracle Deck
Hey y'all, it's been a while. So I'm one of those who dismissed Oracle decks early on, but then found the Lunar Nomad Oracle, which is loosely lenormand based but does it's own thing. So I’ll be referencing that deck a lot here as LNO. F1E04104-CBB3-443C-B615-24B68E5858D6.jpeg Image from Benebell We...

Re: A CoT Group Oracle Deck: Brainstorm
Hopping into the brainstorming. My idea is a bit left-field from the thread but I'm just throwing it out there so long as we're still doing idea generation and not narrowing things down. This'll probably also tie into my pending reply in the "What makes a good oracle deck" thread so I'll l...

Re: Survey: Oracle Formats
I like B to be honest, but I voted for D because my favorite oracle is rather large. It depends on the art and theme, I think.
I don't know why but I'm glad that was an option Having them as different sizes just feels right.

AstralPasta, did you know that your name is famous throughout all galaxies ? Although you used to be known on earth as Germaine. In the 70s and 80s, on French television, the makers of pasta Lustucru (which still exist today) had a series of hugely popular adverts on television, featuring an old wo...

Re: Finding lost objects with the help of the Tarot ?
I kinda gave it a try. Tried to do it by astrological houses and pulled the ten of swords. So house 3, communications and intelligence and early education and siblings or something. I'd say by a computer, phone, or to back Joan Marie up, a bookshelf. Or a sibling's house or maybe by a book with a si...

Re: Duplicate Card in a Deck!
If you feel like it adds something to your experience of the deck, then I think it's fine to leave it in. We all have quirky connections to our cards, I think. I'd probably, personally, use it either as a ritual card or altar decoration or tape it up somewhere on the wall that makes sense where I co...

Thanks y'all! I let him know and showed him your feedback. He was happy and I think he'll be trying to figure something out but he's also not at the beach anymore. Unless he goes on a trip. He is by a waterfall though. I'll show him that card too.

Halp - King of Cups
My partner was doing this at a beach, kinda spontaneously I think, but then the tide started coming in so he had to stop. He took a photo first though. I think that was the story anyhow. So he hasn't much features in his upper body. Aside from the crown. I had offered to do something goofy as a coll...
