Re: 5 of Cups (RWS)

The 5 of cups is about bereavement and loss of love, and to a lesser extent shame & regret. The good times of 2 & 3 of cups that you thought would last forever has ended, and ended abruptly. When we first get our heart broken it is an emotional pain that shakes you to the very core; and you ...

Page of Cups.

Your divine sentence is:

Your sharp intuition & insight may let you down on something, be careful of a fishy tale.

My question is:

What lies in store for me this autumn?

Re: How do you interpret court cards in non-personal readings?

Go back to basics. Look up the keywords for the suit(wands etc), look at the colours in the card particularly what our hero/heroine is wearing then look up what these colours symbolise, and adjust it to the non-personal interpretation. And at first you needn't go any further than taking each court c...

Re: 5 of Cups (RWS)

The river has no banks, and notice how fast it appears to be flowing. I believe it to be a warning not to dwell too long nor let the mourning process overwhelm you, otherwise the river (out of control emotions) will flood your life taking you and the upright cups (your resources) with it. Many years...

Re: 6 of Pentacles (RWS)

I'd never noticed before but the 6 of pentacles is one of Waite's infamous "stage cards" where there is a straight line across the bottom of the card, and where the characters stand in the card on the "stage" as it were. This denotes that there is something not quite real about t...

Re: How has Tarot Changed/Impacted your life?

Yes, introspection is definitely a word that resonates. The effect is rather like meditation where once we start to learn seriously, whether we are aware or not, the ancient symbols in the cards begin to impress on the subconscious and give us messages, like introducing us to writers and books we sh...

Re: Archive/ Samples: Ripped from the Headlines

I know that the Brazilian government are going back on their word and selling massive swathes of the rain forests to huge 1st world conglomerates, decimating ancient tribes and wild life and the fragile eco-systems. I thought about The Hanged Man and The Chariot as soon as I saw it. If you sell your...

Re: The Divine Sentence Game

Likelihood that I will share a kiss with someone I haven't kissed before, before 2018 is over? Queen of wands (And the king of wands did a back flip out of pack while shuffle & it was at bottom of the cards after cut). 10 of cups. With all the above, definitely, prepare for the kiss of a lifetim...

very effective, but so simple! how big is your cardboard/paper? can't get a perspective on photo.

just had an idea about drawing the circles in light pastel shades ... infinite possibilities, just the The Tree

Re: Do you read reversals?

Yes, i started to read reversals but they literally all get clumped one behind the other all five cards after a few shuffles...every time! I took it as the cards telling me i wasn't ready. Now, I use reverses sometimes and invariably they have the same meaning as the upright (not all the time though...

Re: 6 of Cups (RWS)

Hi Joan Marie, I'm very pleased you gave me feed back & liked it. I'm aware i can get a bit carried away with my interpretations & some of them are naive, but i feel everyday i'm learning. Yes, it's very interesting card, so much there; i've always thought too about the old lady, so i was pl...

Re: Make your own Tree of Life

Yes, this is a great idea!! I've tried to draw my tree but i'm not satisfied with it.

Would it be okay to ask you a couple of questions on my progress with the Kabbalah?

regards.

Re: 0 - The Fool (RWS)

The fool in the RWS is also an awakening to the familiar, something you've known all of your life but never appreciated, and usually accompanies a personnel re-birth, of values, emotions, spirituality etc. Could be a close call of a friend or relative, and then releasing you've taken this person for...

Re: 6 of Cups (RWS)

Think of your favourite childhood memory. Perhaps it was a holiday by a beach; or playing in a beautiful garden with a little friend. Maybe it was grandma's soft hands playing with your hair, or a Christmas singing carols around a tree, or even when lightening struck your school and it closed for a ...

Re: 0 - The Fool (RWS)

I see The Fool like a tumbleweed most often. People think that it's just blowing in the wind, but that's only half the story - tumbleweeds will actually reroot and grow when they find water! So that sort of ties in with The Fool's Journey way of looking at the Majors, where The Fool is the one expe...

Re: 0 - The Fool (RWS)

Interesting. Never seen the dog being in more precarious position, but it's true! I think The Fool is one of the most complex cards. From a purely psychological perspective, and in other cards and in the Jung archetype The Fool is the flip side of the coin, he is the dark secret behind the facade. H...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story

I grew up near Glastonbury, and was taught as a boy The Occult Secrets of the Moon (influenced by the tarot) by a Mystic. I moved to london to study at uni. in my first month there i did a tarot reading for fellow student, which predicted her mother & sister's death. it scared me so much, i left...
