'Frivolous' readings
Had an interesting question pop into my head as I was doing my (semi)nightly reading tonight. How do you feel about 'frivolous' readings? Or perhaps 'silly' is a better way to phrase it? Or maybe what I mean to ask is how 'seriously' do you ask your questions? Do you only ask deep, intense questions...

Re: I think I deserve a new deck. Suggestions?
This is gonna perhaps come from out of nowhere, but I'm gonna throw it out there. x3 The Cat Tarot is one I've gotten only recently and haven't spent much time with, but fits a number of things on your list, as far as I can tell. The art is lighthearted without being straight up cartoony, it follows...

Re: Do fallen divine spirits exist and incarnate?
But the same dogs will steal your dinner off the table when you get up to answer the door. It really does seem like the angels are only in them sometimes. Hey, you never know, having your dinner stolen could be part of some ineffable plan! ;3 The concept as set out in the first post reminds me of a...

Re: What Major Arcana is your favorite?
I've always liked the Moon. :) Not really for any particular strong reason, and in fact I can think of a couple of shallow ones (I like nighttime best, I like wolves, I just straight up like the moon. x3) I also associate the Moon card with creativity, especially the kind that takes chaos and disord...

Re: The Moon - female or male ?
I saw this topic this morning before I headed to work, and a part of the back of my mind has been pondering this a little bit ever since. You would think with nearly a whole day I would have a cleverly written version of my thoughts, but that is not the case. x3 While the actual moon to me has alway...

Re: Suggestions for Crone/Goddess Decks?
I can vouch for how lovely the Goddess oracle deck is - it's one of the few oracle decks I've come across I felt a connection to. (The cards are QUITE large, though, very hard on my short fingers, so I actually cut the cards down to just the pictures and I felt it made the goddesses even more promin...

Re: What's the Deck-Stork bringing?
I got a cat tarot deck for my sister for her birthday, and holy cow I think I need one for myself - it's ADORABLE. I love that the death card is a vacumn cleaner, which actually makes sense if you think about it - from a cat's point of view, it's one of the WORST THINGS EVER AND LIFE SUCKS, but afte...

I'll participate in this one!
I'll probably use my Shadowscapes deck, it's the one I'm learning on, but I'll pull the others out and see if any of them yell at me to use them.

Oh wow, how interesting, I actually pulled out the eight of cups last night for my nightly card draw. o.O How odd that we were both pondering it on the same day. I actually pulled it out reversed and for a second thought it looked like she was skyrocketing into outer space. xD https://66.media.tumbl...

Re: Solution for ridiculous US to Canada rates?
I have a friend in Canada who I send packages to - luckily, she lives quite close to the border, so I send them to a US address she uses to just cross the border periodically and pick up. I wonder if it would be feasible to find someone who lives in a similar situation and whether it would be cheape...

Oh, I love those stamp pads!
You have to be super careful with pigment ink pads, though, if you get the ink on anything, it's super difficult to get off.

Cards that just don't like you
Or perhaps that don't like to talk to you. Anyone else have some cards/suits/ranks that just don't want to tell you about themselves? Aces don't like me. I pull an ace and I just stare at it blankly while it tells me nothing whatsoever. Doesn't matter what deck, either, so it's not a specific card. ...

Re: My Planetary Week # 10: July 28 - August 3
Wednesday, Interactions and Change - Queen of Swords, reversed. I was having trouble even connecting with this card. It wasn't saying one thing to me as I stared at it. I picked out my keywords from the corresponding Type Tarot card - nothing. Read the book - nothing. I ended up searching for what t...

Re: My Planetary Week # 10: July 28 - August 3
Tuesday, Conflicts and Challenges: Knight of Wands. Not real surprised by this one, it speaks to a couple of things I KNOW are challenges for me. In both my book and the Type Tarot deck, the word 'changes' jumped out at me. I've both been trying to start and avoid many changes - I like things to go ...

Monday, Dreams and Fears: Queen of Pentacles, reversed. (I've recently been trying to read cards as reversed if it feels right to do so.) The queen is rooted, strong, and ready to support, holding out a gift of help, but when I look at the card reversed, it's about to fall out of her hands and drift...

Sunday, Inspirations and Goals: King of Wands Well that's quite the interesting coincidence - I'm looking through the book for this deck, and lo and behold one of the phrases I see is 'source of inspiration' How about that? Re: Cutting out The Liminal Tarot—I’m a little (lot) nervous
Store lamination definitely has a different feel to it than most home lamination. The sheets used in home laminators tend to be a little thicker and more sturdy than store laminate. (Store laminate is great for posters because it's flexible enough it can roll up still) One big key about laminating i...

Re: Would you call yourself a deck collector?
I think of my decks as mini art galleries, and like to look though one or two from time to time. I do the same thing! There's a deck I got from kickstarter that is a big enough size I will never be able to comfortably use it for any readings because I have very short fingers. I love it, though, bec...
