Re: NEW MEMBERS - Tell us your Tarot Story
Hi Kami, I've gone through many different fascinations with the tarot. The first was history - both documented and fictitious - mysteries are always delicious :D. This was followed by the art and the creation of a number of tarots and oracles; collecting (but only the ones I loved) and learning the ...

Re: Special Announcement about Cult of Tarot
Dear Joan, you've worked so hard and made CoT a forum with the best ambience ever - it's sad to think of it ending - artists have always been made to feel welcome here, unlike some other places, and the quality of the discussions are second to none, but I can understand why you made that decision. T...

Re: Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Tarot
I believe that somehow the tarot taps into something so deep and basic that it's possible to apply it to just about everything. Your comment about overlapping reminded me of dear Nemia's thread about Ikigai, Here - I printed out the diagram and used it as a spread a few times - I found that the over...

Re: TdM Haiku
I thought it funny the way the knight looks so cross, sword at the ready (possibly to keep the lion from escaping or even rescuing him), but the horse looks slightly amused. And yes, the Tower keeps showing up in spite of the fact that I just fan the cards into a line, close my eyes and pick up one ...

Re: TdM Haiku
Re. Prudence, there's a number of discussions in which she is mentioned on the Tarot History Forum. I used to be obsessed with tarot history but seem to have lost touch with all the delicious details. I think Gertrude Moakley was the first to suggest that the tarot trumps were based on Italian trium...

You can't really read it wrong - I like ambiguity and the idea that nothing is concrete and the reader can bring something to the haiku.dodalisque wrote: Though I could be projecting my own ideas onto the poem and reading it wrong.
