Re: Does anyone know the name of this deck?

I just learned that this card is from The Secret Dakini Oracle by Penny Slinger, published in 1977 by US Games. It was later republished under the title The Tantric Dakini Oracle.

I just discovered this beautiful performance by So Hyang. I was not able to find this particular performance with subtitles, but So Hyang's performances are so heartfelt that the lyrics aren't usually necessary.

Stan K. Beest Thank you for your post! :D I found one of these a couple months ago. The box was dinged and also torn in one spot where someone tried to remove a price sticker. I have been working on restoring the box, but I have had difficulty getting a color match to such an unusual color. I was w...

Re: Sympathy for the Devil

Thank you so much for your response and for your insight into the business side of the tarot . Joan Marie Just to clarify, I am not advocating that people buy pirated decks, just that I have a growing understanding and sympathy for why some may do so. I am sad to say that your remedy of " I'd r...

Sympathy for the Devil

Call me “Old-fashioned,” but when I purchase a new item, I expect it to be in new condition. Unfortunately, about fifty percent of the new tarot decks and new tarot books that I have received over the past three years of collecting have arrived either dented, scratched, creased, crushed, or defectiv...

Dreamwalker Tarot

This tarot deck has been in progress for a number of years, so I do not know the current status of the project, but I wanted to bring it to everyone's attention while the forum is still active. The deck is called Dreamwalker Tarot by Cecilie Noctique of Norway. I am providing a link to her website, ...

John Rutter's Requiem is (in my opinion) one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and the following performance of it by MonteverdiChor Würzburg is by far the best of the many performances that I have heard, despite the poor audio quality and the fact that people sitting near the micr...

Re: Competitive Tarot

Historically, competition has led to some of the greatest inventions to benefit humanity (Edison vs Tesla for example). When it comes to art, however, the effects of competition become more difficult to assess: On the one hand, there could be situations in which competition motivates artists to refi...

Re: Share your art

I occasionally receive tarot decks from online sellers who fail to accurately describe the poor condition of the decks. Because I hate to see works of art like tarots neglected or abused, I will often try to restore those decks to their original condition rather than return them for a refund. Below ...

Hema If no one here is able to identify the deck, you can always check Adam McLean's Weblog archives and database. He has about 2,600 tarot decks listed, although I believe he stopped collecting a few years ago, so if it is a newer deck, it may not be in his database. The following link is for his ...

LoS: Tarot, Game, & Book Series

I initially purchased it as just a tarot deck because the black and white Gothic imagery on many of the cards appealed to me, but I soon discovered that there is a very entertaining ...

Am I the only one who gets a slightly sick feeling when I see the ouroboros just stuck there forever with its tail in its mouth, hopelessly frozen for eternity because it can't break free of of this epic self-own?
