Re: How I learn

I think everyone has different opinion when it comes to learning tarot. I don't enjoy/like big spreads, so that is why I don't do the Celtic Cross. A three card spread can be just as effective as the celtic cross. For me, big spreads over overwhelming, and in the end, it comes down to what suits som...

Re: Back to Basics: 3-Card Spreads

This a quite an interesting spread and because I have had a fascination with deity and how people can connect with deity and I can't. So I decided to do this spread and see what other see in it as well as my own take on it. IMG-1802.jpg Druidcraft deck by Philip and Stephanie Carr_Gomm. Art by Will ...

Re: Back to Basics: 3-Card Spreads

My tarot journey is still very young and I too have been told to, when I get a 5 or the death card, to draw another card for clarification. It only led to confusion. The more advice I got from forums or people who I knew in life that also do tarot, all advice was different. The more I read, the more...

Re: Astrology Online Dating App

Anyone believe in Astrology to find a love match? I have been participating in this new dating app called Elamints (www.souldate.link) that uses astrology to match people. Although it is new it is growing. This might be a place to meet others and pass the time, since most of us are stuck at home in...

Re: An interesting thought

Right now I am reading and doing the exercises from Mary K Greer, Tarot for yourself. I like it so far. I journal everything and found that I rather like journaling. I think it would interesting to do the type of exercise you described.

Re: An interesting thought

I agree with all you have said, yet it is encouraged to share your readings so you can learn. Usually when I post a reading people have their own opinion and that is alright, because if I did not want the opinion, I shouldn't post. The only audience I have is the online audience. No one in my life i...

An interesting thought

I am watching an episode on Gaia.com about tarot and the episode is about the Magician and High Priestess. Theresa Bullard says in this episode that above all doors of mystical school hangs a sign saying: 'Know Thyself' Then she explains that another part of this motto is: 'To keep silence'. She exp...

Re: What is your religion?

I have never been religious. My spiritual path has always been a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Whatever works for me really. I have been to churches, mosque, synagoge. Even did a witches education and now I am studying tarot. I won't ever adopt a religion or a certain belief for the r...

Re: Love readings

When it was clear to me Tarot would be for me, It never came to my mind to read for others. Maybe I will one day but for now it is all about self-discovery for me. I have noticed that boundaries are so easily crossed in the spiritual world. At first it took me by surprise and then I realised I just ...

Re: Love readings

It is interested that you avoided magic in this life. I have had the same with Witchcraft. I can still feel myself being burned as one. I can't count the books I have read on it in this life, absorbing all the info about it, but practicing it, I just can't get a handle on it at all. I do like the Sa...

Re: Love readings

Thanks. Who was the author of ancestral tarot? On Amazon I see different authors I will certainly take it easy as I can get very overloaded when doing too much readings. I know a little about my past lives. I definitely have a past life in the 1800. Also in the witch trial period. Was burned as a wi...

Re: Love readings

I am very interested in Past life readings but I don't know how to start and how to discover who I was in a reading. To be honest I struggle a bit with readings that have a future theme in them. I don't believe the tarot is for predicting the future. I did have some visions/flashes of past lives but...

Re: Is the tower card always as scary as people make out?

I don't see any tarot card as bad news or scary or negative. I do have cards that sometimes trigger me. Once I find out why it triggers me, the card no longers is a trigger.

Love readings

Since I have started tarot and lurking forums I have noticed that 99% of the readings are about people wanting their ex-back or wanting to know about a certain someone in their lives. I am so fascinated by it. It seems all other wondering things about tarot does not exist. From a psychological point...

I don't have a lot of decks but my favorite one's are Light Seer deck by Chris-Anne and the Wildwood deck by Mark Ryan John Matthews

The Classic Llewellyn deck I mainly use for practicing from the books I have use that deck.

Re: Would you call yourself a deck collector?

I have only started with my Tarot journey since last years and have 5 decks. I only use three of them on a regular basis. I thought about buying more decks but for now I want to stick to the three decks I am comfortable with. There are so many cool decks out there but I don't want to buy decks that ...

Re: How I learn

About court cards. They're tricky, yes. They can either be persons in your life - depending on their personality, you can recognize them. They can also be aspects of yourself. You may be in a situation where you become a Page, i.e., a learner, a beginner, naive, enthusiastic, full of self confidenc...

Re: How I learn

Because I have read so many things online and on forums NOT to use the Celtic Cross and reversals, I think I might have been influenced by that a little. I am also a little worried I may get overloaded with so many cards but the least I can do is try it. I have some topics I can use in the Celtic Cr...

Re: How I learn

I struggle with the Pages and Knights. Do they represent a person? Am I the person? I can't remember it, no matter how much I re-read them. I know Pages are immature(ish) And the knight.. Can't remember right now lol. Haven't gotten into reversals too much but to read about it and the cards in diffe...

Thanks for replying! I have just started a new book and the main character is very interesting, so I can definitely use in readings. I actually will have fun doing that. I also sometimes go through my deck and pick a card and write about the card and what it means to me. And I love your goal spread....
