Greetings DarkWing,
Thank you for the summary. It was J. Augustus Knapp who wrote the LWB and he borrowed this method from Papus’ Second Lesson on the Divining Tarot.
Take Care,

Re: Reading the Pips : Fictitious practice readings
Greetings, Here is a list of real questions that I compiled from an exchange group that might be useful here for practicing with the Pips. ——- What are Ryan's feelings for me? What does my financial picture look like in the next three months? Who reaches out first, me or S (male)? What advice does t...

Re: The Tarot of Manly P. Hall
I am glad that others are finding these things useful. I forgot to mention that prior to creating his own adaptation of the RWS deck for BOTA, Paul Case used the Knapp-Hall deck as the basis for his 1933 course, Oracle of the Tarot.

Re: Seeing the World: Tarot Signposts on the Path to Perception by Jean-Claude Flornoy
But the Waite deck has the merit of having opened in fact the tarot to the Anglo Saxon world and so I do give it that credit and it has helped at least give the tarot some lettres de noblesse in places where it was not part of the culture. And Waite meant well. He wasn't a bad person - just looking...

Re: Seeing the World: Tarot Signposts on the Path to Perception by Jean-Claude Flornoy
You mentioned Kabbalah prompting you to return a book to the shelf; Tarot and Kabbalah don't mix? I'm wondering this since reading into Thoth. I get the astrological correspondence part, just when tied in with Kabbalah I tend to doubt. Greetings Monk, I explained my perspective on this in my bio: “...

Re: The Tarot: Why, How, and How Far? By Tchalaï Unger
He may indeed. In fact, he put together the materials linked to above. That said, I do not know where this Lacan rumour began as Tchalaï - always generous to a fault - never mentions him or his work in her books. Greetings _R_, You are my personal hero. Re: Tarot and the language of the birds
I suppose you know that French surrealists (including Andre Breton) designed their own Tarot of Marseilles while being holed up hiding from the Nazis during WW2. I've been thinking of making a thread about this. The deck is gorgeous and the history behind it worth knowing about. The Jeu de Marseill...
