Decks with good guidebooks?
Recently I've been working with the Tarot of Vampyres by Ian Daniels, and the guidebook is a doozy. It's just really really good. And I love that when I bought this deck it was accompanied by a guidebook that really adds to the deck, and to my tarot studies. I know that US Games sometimes sold guide...

Re: Best decks for Kabbalah ways of reading
I think The Gill Tarot would work well for your purpose because of the way the minors are semi-illustrated with an emphasis on the numerology.

Re: Is the tower card always as scary as people make out?
Recently I was feeling stuck, stagnant, trapped at where I am in my life, and I pulled the Tower card and I was full of anticipation for the fall, because I've been desperate for change.

I have her book, The Creative Tarot: A Modern Guide to an Inspired Life, and it's an excellent resource on how to use tarot for creative direction and inspiration. And even planning. The book has photographs of some cards from her Spolia deck. I've admired them. Fortunately for me I don't hanker aft...

Re: What digital decks do you own?
I have the Fool's Dog app of Boadicea's Tarot of Earthly Delights, because a physical deck is not available yet. I have the physical deck, Czech version of Shadowscapes because of its bigger cards, and the guidebook is in Czech too. I bought the Shadowscapes app on Fool's Dog to have access to the E...

10. Saint John’s Eve – June 23: Like the herbs traditionally gathered on St. John’s Eve, this card shows what protects or heals you. The Knight of Wands. Action and movement is what helps me feel secure during times when I think I'm stuck. I thought I was stuck all this time but then I got a part-t...

The Muse Tarot isn't going to be delivered to me, sadly, and Amazon is going to refund me. But the Santa Muerte Tarot is arriving on Friday, the Ceccoli Tarot on Saturday and the Earth Warriors Oracle on Sunday! I rarely buy several decks at once so this quick succession of decks arriving home is EX...

9. Honey Moon – June 22: This card shows you how to release anxieties or worries, how to enjoy yourself. I mentioned in my previous post that I have had The World show up for me repeatedly. 8. Summer Solstice – June 21: We are at the height of the sun’s power, the longest day, in the Northern Hemisphere; OR in the Southern Hemisphere this day is the turning point for the days to get longer. 6. Oak King – June 19: A dedication to the Oak King, who is now near the height of his power in his battle with the Holly King. This card shows you your strength. I've enjoyed seeing the cards you've drawn so far, they make me think of a polaroid picture quietly developing into clarity. That's spot on! Every card I pull, every message, has been related to the previous one. I just feel so supported during this time. I'm so grateful. I agree, it feels like a s...

I'm happy that Six of Wands had such a role in your creative process, Ciderwell! I haven't stopped thinking about that card since posting about it yesterday, and I think it's really telling me that the reason I'm feeling hopeless right now instead of triumphant, is because I'm not waiting. I'm impat...

Vestalia – June 15: An ancient Roman festival dedicated to Vesta, Goddess of the Hearth. This card shows you your hearth, the fire at the center of your life and home, and how to tend to it. I drew the Eight of Wands, and the first thing that strikes me is that yesterday's card was also an Eight. I...

Birth of the Muses – June 14: This card shows how your inspiration and creativity is manifesting. I know I said I'd work with the Shadowscapes deck for this challenge, but I felt called to work with the Modern Witch tarot for this draw today. Re: The Alleyman Phenomena
I also kept seeing the ad for the Alleyman's Kickstarter campaign on my instagram, probably because I follow a bunch of tarot accounts and sometimes post tarot content. So maybe part of its success was the marketing. It's not the first collaborative deck, although having 137 cards instead of 78 does...

They're beautiful, I agree! And they're the kind of images that you don't have to struggle to make meaning out of. They get me thinking about the King of Cups in a different way than what I'm used to. I love when cards have art that gets your intuition going immediately–the art is evocative, is what...

Re: Expanding on king and queen distinctions
I'm glad you found it helpful. And that's a beautiful quote! The King of Cups isn't always emotionally constipated–he has shown up in some of my readings that way, but he can also symbolise healing from the same societal wounds of toxic masculinity you've talked about, I think. It also depends on th...

Re: Expanding on king and queen distinctions
For me the Kings aren't active at all; they're about control. The King of Cups is about controlling emotions, and this can be good or bad, light or shadow, depending. Sometimes the KIng of Cups looks benevolent to me, sometimes ambivalent, sometimes emotionally constipated. The King of Pents is cont...

I'll participate with the Shadowscapes deck! June is when it gets rainier here in India and Shadowscapes just fits, with its blues alongside all the summery forest greenery.
