Re: Majors Only Decks?
Late to the discussion, as always. I get the same reaction from people when I tell them I read with only 32 playing cards rather than 52. Like more has to be better. I have several majors-only decks and I do use them. Not often, tbh, and usually for myself. They're well-suited for giving direct answ...

Re: Devil's Advocate - Introduction
@JudyK Thanks much for posting the Autonomic Tarot. I always like being introduced to tarots that I was not aware of. I will definitely need to add this one to my collection. The art reminds me a little of Vladimir Tesar's, whose oracle deck I was lucky enough to find last year. Someone posted pict...

Re: I've interpreted a spread about my future husband, but one card's presence is...weird. Second opinions welcome!
No positional meanings either. Just the 3 cards as an interpretation of his character/personality, and if relevant, what the overall relationship is like. Would you have any ideas? With no positions to set boundaries, the cards are open to all your ideas and more! (I don't usually use positions, bu...

I just Googled Trusted Tarot's Love Reading, and if it's this one - https://www.trustedtarot.com/love-reading/ - then it's just a Past-Present-Future spread*. If you're reading the three cards as info about a future husband, can we assume you're interpreting each card without any positional meanings...

Re: Dirt cheap Tarot readings - what do you think?
I sell โcheapโ readings. Not as little as ยฃ0.60, but well under the professional going rate. I donโt do it for the money - I just want to read. Iโd do it for free (and sometimes still do) but Iโm tired of people, the majority sadly, who treat free readings like the peanuts on the bar โ โThey don't r...

Re: What do you interpret and how would your spread be
... it kindve seemed to contradict itself unless Im reading it wrong, which was the reason why I included the tarots that I pulled to help me understand how others would interpret it to make sure Ive been reading it right. Okay, just as an example of how it could be interpreted. ๐ My gut reaction i...

Re: What do you interpret and how would your spread be
My view differs from Charlie Brown's in that I think you do have a technique - The 1st card usually represents the yes or no answer or description of the person while the other cards are more like explanations answer. This is similar to how I would handle an essentially yes/no question. And it's rem...

IT'S HERE! And it does not disappoint.
For anyone curious, here's a side-by-side of a few of the cards. The cardstock is less slick, too. -

Re: Lovers + star + 8 of cups future relationship outcome
I wouldn't be able to ignore the 8 of Cups that ends the reading. Whether one sees the Lovers and the Star as signalling "soulmates" or as recognising their decision to choose 'purity', the 8 of Cups says it's done.

Re: The Death and the Death Card
Why is it not possible to see the real death in the cards? It's as possible as seeing anything else in the cards. The Death card can indicate physical death. It would be a nonsense to say otherwise. But like any possible meaning for any card, it depends on the context and, frankly, the likelihood. ...

Thank you so much, @Thelder!
I used to live in Seattle, and I still have family in Vancouver WA, so if it comes to the crunch I can always get it sent to them and get them to send it on to me, making a birthday gift of the (not insubstantial) postage. Done it before.

My almost OTGA was the Tarot of the Origins by Sergio Toppi (Lo Scarabeo). It only came out in 2002 but by the time I knew of its existence it was already OOP and selling for crazy-money. Re: Expanding on king and queen distinctions
The way I see it, the general associations linked to Queens and Kings are all fairly shallow, but they're just suggestions for the expression of dualism within each suit. One set of cards represents passive/receptive principles, and the paired set represents active/expressive principles. I could swa...

Re: The Cardinal Virtues in Tarot
I love the spread. Your own creation? I certainly agree that the Hanged Man is not suitable candidate for "Prudence". I get the High Priestess/Papessa connection - Latin prudentia : foresight, sagacity. The Hermit gets a mention occasionally. Possible, but I'd sooner go with HP. But the si...
