Re: Significator: iMoodyCrab reads for Merrick
Gosh, I’m so sorry! I thought I had already given feedback on this. At the time you did the reading, this did feel apt. I was having issues with the decisions my company was making, and I was about to look for other jobs. However by now things have settled and I’m in a better place emotionally. I do...

Re: What Makes a Good Oracle Deck
I don’t know what makes a good oracle deck because I’ve never used any. My question is, are oracle decks meant to actually be predictive? A lot of what I’ve seen and hear people talk about makes oracle decks seem more like they are affirmations, which is fine, but is not an oracle.

Re: LEN: Merrick reads for dodalisque
I love language play and wordplay. Lewis Carroll and Shakespeare both leap to mind as masters of English wordplay. I appreciate how EE plays with all of these constructs. So many people think of language or words as fixed and they are not. Similarly, so many people think of the images in the tarot a...

Re: LEN: Merrick reads for dodalisque
Bravo! That reading was absolutely inspired. The court cards can still flummox me from time to time so I admire your choice to read only with them. And then summing it all up with that corresponding majors reading was just the cherry on top. I am definitely a mystic. I appreciate using the tarot for...

Re: LEN: Merrick reads for dodalisque
I am so glad to hear you say that. As much as I adore Enrique Enriquez and the scientific and aesthetic context in which he places tarot, I find the magical aspect of the cards is becoming diluted as I seem to grow in understanding in psychological terms about how the process works. I think I liked...

Re: Daily pip practice
For my reading I asked the cards is it worthwhile for me to continue working on spirit contact? And I’ll say my reading on this is feeling shaky, I would love some input You did a reading in your Daily Pip Practise thread on April 24 that asked for some input about a 3 card spread, using the Florno...

Thank you for sharing! I have listened to Fortune’s Wheelhouse in the past but as I’m less interested in esoteric associations than some I fell off with it. I’ve also tried Root Lock Radio and while I strongly disagree with some of the host’s stances on aspects of tarot practice, he has useful insig...

The Alison Lurie novel this reading comes from is called "Invisible Friends". My wife and I are both book people and work in bookshops but somehow I had never come across any Alison Lurie until about 2 weeks ago. She's 93 now so we may have been busy with our young children when she was p...

You are so kind, and I am so glad it was helpful to you. I would guess that it isn't my grasp of the TdM but my experience struggling with anxiety that maybe helps me with the cards. They help me maintain a positive outlook. TdM is kind of new to me and tarot, etc. as well. Take your time and thank...

Sigh. This is going to be a long email. You might want to go grab a coffee or a salad or something. I'm afraid I am going to have to dock you marks for "technical difficulty", because no attempt was made to hazard insane guesses at the flesh and blood outcome of this fictional event, thou...

There are still stock of these available. I’ve become enchanted with the stark style of this deck, and finally ordered one of my own. I’m hoping the pandemic doesn’t delay its arrival for too long!

Re: Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her
This begs the question, other than documentaries, what films do a good job portraying tarot readings? Most of the ones I can think of present them as scary/spooky or use it to tell us we can disregard a character because they’re into silly stuff like tarot.

Re: LEN: Merrick reads for dodalisque
Well monsieur dodalisque, I appreciate you coming to see me about such a sensitive matter. Unlike you, the cards have long ago disabused me of any naive notions of the solidity of the material world. So you tell me that you are secretly in love with a powerful clairvoyant healer, and I say there’s n...

Very well Joan Marie, as I see you have both given this reading considerable thought and no one would believe you had an audience with the emperor, I will return you back to your home. Re: TdM Reading group: dodalisque reads for Kare
What jumps out at me from this arrangement of cards - the "loose brick in the wall," as Enrique Enriquez calls it - is the diagonally placed minor cards. In painting, diagonals create a sense of dynamism and movement. Horizontals and verticals give us a feeling of static repose. So if you...

Re: TdM Reading Group: Merrick reads for RachelCat
Yes, thank you for the question! I do prefer a three-five card spread without fixed positions where I’m more free to build narratives, look for eye rhymes, etc. However I appreciate the practice on spreads like this because it’s good to train ourselves on multiple ways of reading, and you never know...

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to secure a copy of Pablo Robledo’s Tarot de Marseilles and a copy of his Dodal recreation. I am open to any edition as long as they are in good condition and am willing to pay fair prices.
Thank you!

Re: TdM Reading Group: kare reads for Merrick
My question is how do I work through the current emotional/energetic blockage I’m experiencing? Hi, Merrick, I thought I'd start by mentioning the decks I used and how I chose to pull an extra card for clarification. The only traditional TdM I have is the Conver-Ben-Dov, which I do love. I used tha...

Re: How the French read the cards
Another thing I've learned about the tarot in the French speaking world is one I'd already touched on once in another thread some time ago. It's that the RWS doesn't exist in their universe. Again a poster used a TdM inspired deck (she's the only one) and I mentioned again that it's not really a Td...

Thank you so much for this. I’m going to let it percolate with me for a bit before providing in depth feedback as I’d like to sit with the reading and absorb it for a bit. I appreciate how much you put into this, especially given that this isn’t your normal style.

Hello Joan, thank you for responding to my summons so quickly. Of course I realize the entourage of armed Sardaukar I sent to retrieve you left you with little choice in the matter, but I appreciate your time nonetheless. And let me tell you that secreting you aboard a Guild freighter involved quite...
