Re: Best Tarot Review Sites
As a buyer, Benebell Wen is one of the reviewers I explicitly trust. Also Tom Benjamin on YouTube. I second those recommendations. Just off the top of my head,I would also like to suggest: Nobody Here YouTube The Hermit’s Cave YouTube Tarot Oculus YouTube Yes, I love all three of those channels as ...

As always I do enjoy your readings! And you have offered some truly sage advice about fortune telling and the act of fortune telling (both the doing and the performing) that I will take to heart. However, and I don’t fault you in any way as I was quite vague with my question, I was not referring to ...

Re: "Generic" TdM spreads
Does anyone know any TdM specific spreads that are "public domain" i.e. the Celtic Cross? I know someone who wants to add them to an lwb for a TdM deck but obviously doesn't want to use any that belong to anyone. Any help would be great! The French Cross is ubiquitous among TdM readers, a...

A Moby Dick tarot, how exciting! “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.” Hopefully the experience won’t be as all consuming as Captain Ahab’s desire for revenge! For this spread I’m using my Tarot Sheet Revival Dodal. Whe...

Re: some examples of different indie oracle decks
After my last post I ended up stumbling across this oracle called Falnama, based on a Turkish/Iranian form of bibliomancy where the answers to queries were divined in a combination of a powerful image and a corresponding poem or verse. Benebell Wen reviewed it here: https://benebellwen.com/2019/02/0...

Re: some examples of different indie oracle decks
For example, for the butterfly, the author puts the keyword "travel". For me, the meaning of the butterfly is "transformation". So I would simply see more as the keyword "butterfly" on the card and the author's interpretation in a LWB (or here on a card). Hence the dif...

Happy birthday Yves! I was excited for the Besançon but after reviewing both on your website I absolutely fell in love with the Gassmann, which is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and interesting TdMs I’ve ever come across. So I placed an order and am also eagerly awaiting delivery! Thanks ...

Re: I-Ching anyone?
Not many people in the tarot community seem to know about Geomancy, though ideas and shapes from it occur in the Thoth deck, but that system of divination seems to me, visually at least, to resemble a very simplified western version of the I Ching hexagrams. I practice geomancy and while I’m newer ...

TdM Sign Up: The Enso Circle
Happy June everyone! This month we’re going to read with a spread by Camelia Elias, which she based on the Zen enso circle. The spread itself is very simple: You lay down four triumphs in a 2x2 square, with the first card in the upper left position and the other three laid out clockwise from there. ...

Re: The dreaded reversals question
The main trouble I have with reversals is how I would get the cards reversed in the first place. Contrived operations aside, Paul Marteau, of TdM fame, advised against shuffling and recommended instead placing the cards on the table, face down, and making circular movements with one's hands placed ...

Thank you for such generous feedback. I will be honest and tell you I could not determine if that was a query from your life or from a novel. You mentioned how your relationship with this woman was almost Shakespearean, and that’s how it felt reading your summation. I decided I’d rather take it comp...

20200525_141225~01.jpg I used the 4-2-1-3-5 option—a central, thematic card and two elaborating pairs. Unfortunately, the cards leave me unsure that going pro is going to be the right choice for you. While it's possible, I don't think that you're going to like what you would have to do. In the cent...

Yes! I love when two readings dovetail like that. And had I known it was a music project you were working on, I would have pointed out that Le Bataleur holding his baton looks like a conductor. I’m glad this was of help to you!

I would like to see you read with your new Millenium TdM, especially if you can work in a handful of Minors to supplement the Major 5 card line in some way. But just see where the reading leads you. A basic 5 card answer would be fine. I have lived in Canada for many years but my parents, who are n...
