Re: Tarot de Besançon
PS: This kind of deck is what I mean, but unfortunately I couldn't find it. It is offered by etsy for more than 1000€. The one you pictured from Etsy was from published by Grimaud. This one that I just finished restoring was the earlier version, the Lequart Arnoult, that was done through the 1880s....

https://www.etsy.com/shop/OldLenormandCards?ref=shop_sugg Sadly, there's nothing up now, though because the store is closed for the pandemic. Thanks, CB, glad you like my cards. The Dodal is also in my own shop here where all the tarots are up at my shop for viewing. However, since the printer is c...

Excellent, Libra. There's also Tom Benjamin's videos and one that addresses Court cards similarly! Go watch it here. He's really good.

Re: Lenormand Book recommendation?
Bjorn Meuris' books. Hands down. If you follow the chapters, step-by-step, stay focused and do the exercises in the way he suggests and you'll be up and running without checking the back of any book for the cards' meanings. Read the reviews here -- you may recognize some names. And when you're done...

Re: Using Etsy
One thing that is really starting to bite though is all the fees with transferring money and changing currency etc. I'm trying to work that out to everyone's best advantage. I've learned some interesting things for example, using paypal, if I change euros to dollars before I send them it's cheaper ...

Re: Indie-Deck Co-Op: Let's Brainstorm
Problems are creating a venue, consolidating the participants then disseminating the information. At the current time, since the purple forum is defunct ,the primary places where deck seekers go, I may be wrong, is Etsy or eBay. Unfortunately both take a huge chunk of change from the sellers and if ...

These look great! I love astro cards! So I'll see you over on your site. And I might learn some French along the way . . . The LWB is in French but I have persuaded a friend to help with the translation to English -- since I am unilingual and I suspect there are other English speakers who are, too....

Le Tarot Astrologique
Update: Found that these cards were originally made some time between 1890 and 1917; I didn't know that the tax stamp of 1890 was only on the earliest cards. They were illustrated by Henri Armengol and the instructions were written by a young Georges Muchery (born in 1892) who became a known occulti...

...Luis Peña’s drawings were inspired by Eudes Picard’s tarot system, which also influenced Oswald Wirth’s images for the minor arcana... Erm, Wirth never did any images for the Minors. As this thread has been bumped up, let me go even further. Wirth never bothered with the minors at all. He worked...

Re: Some Thoughts on Shadow Work
And my shadow, right now, in spite of the bravado, is that I'm scared. Yeah, me - I am very, very afraid. “I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we hav...

Re: Some Thoughts on Shadow Work
It's interesting that different cultures have similar sayings about the way we grow into the individuals that we become, that who you are depends on which dog you feed: the good one or the bad one. Pursuing shadow work in tarot can certainly trigger some insights we may not have already recognized. ...

Anastasia: You're right about humour being an important part of our lives ! The Tarot of Marseilles also makes me laugh sometimes. I showed my son, an avid dinosaur aficionado (more obsessed), and he was naming the dinos left and right. He really liked the deck. After watching the video I have to admit that it is a very fun and appealing deck. The attention to detail is evident. Clearly, if you decide to support this deck you ...

OMG, have you seen this. Only 5 days to go and Anastasia Kashian-Smith has a created a Dinosaur Marseille Tarot and with her 'stretch goals' is creating a minchiate!
