Re: Upright/reversed
Hi! I’m totally new to TdM. I fell in love with it just recently by looking at a YT-video from Tarot Map. I bought the Noblet version from Flornoy but was wondering how you know what is the upright and reversed sides of the pips? Especially the deniers and batons... Any Info or good links? Thank yo...

Re: Reading the Pips : Fictitious practice readings
Well, if the Vamp Tarot says so, I suppose it is so. Now now Diana  No need to be shirty ;) I looked up shirty. It means bad-tempered or annoyed (you seem to be teaching me new vocabulary). I'm not bad-tempered nor annoyed although I understand why you used this word. There are other adjective...

Re: Reading the Pips : Fictitious practice readings
AeonHorus, my opinion is that you did a pretty good TdM reading. Thank you, that means a lot! :D ;) At first, for a long time, I thought that is didn't make sense that the 7 of Swords could indicate anything sexual - even if it is just in the girl's mind as you cleverly said (that was really cool t...

Re: Tarot de Marseille Keywords
what i find interesting is that, usually, in books that mention keywords, like lwb’s or general tarot studybooks, there are a lot of words/ associations/ interpretations of the possible meanings of a card and then the keyword functions as a kind of ‘conclusion’, a kind of compressed version of what...

Re: Are we pulling the cards all wrong for our spreads ?
There's been something that's been bugging me since the very early days of my apprenticeship in reading the tarot. It's a very long apprenticeship. Apparently no-one's ever finished - even the Hermit is still looking for some answers it is rumoured. Others say he's looking for questions. No-one kno...

This was something that I was taught many years ago by my teacher / mentor / girlfriend / witch whatever you may wish to call her lol. But she knew her stuff when it came to all things magick, herbs, the Druids path, Hermeticism, divination (not only tarot) she knew some shit I can tell you. These ...

Re: Tarot de Marseille Keywords
Now I am certainly intregued as to exactly how you extract meaning from a pip card and the courts without a preordained meaning behind them. AeonHorus, I made a fictitious reading in the Reading the Pips study : https://www.cultoftarotforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=132&t=2433&p=15832#p15832 This...

Re: Tarot de Marseille Keywords
The idea of applying keywords to the TdM feels like an oxymoron to me. I mean the Major arcana speak for themselves with their keywords already attached. I've never thought of the card titles being keywords. The titles are descriptors, not a compressed meaning. Keywords are merely a starting point ...

Tarot de Marseille Keywords
Tarot de Marseille Keywords Hi Guys Quick question ... What are your favourite keywords for the majors and Pips. Not necessarily the most historically correct but the ones that ring true the most when reading the TdM. Majors 0. Le Mat I. Le Bateleur II. La Papesse III. L'Impératrice IIII. L'Empereur...

Hi AeonHorus : I'm not Charlie Brown, but just want to know, don't you ever read instructions ? This is a reading circle for using the LENORMAND deck, not a Tarot deck. In the reading I did for you, you didn't follow instructions either. 🤔 This thread is in a section called Fanciful Reading with Le...

Re: FAN: AeonHorus reads for Charlie Brown
Hey Charlie Brown I was finishing up work one night when I found a tough, streetwise teenager trying to steal the tires off of my car. Having piqued my curiosity, I decided that, rather than deal with him directly, I'd surveil him for a few days. It turned out that he and his peers were being pressu...

Dear Jordan, Sorry to hear about your troubles. Corona up to now was a beer for me. Usually drunk with a slice of lemon or lime. It's a much nicer thing than a virus. Yes me too, many a happy summertime memories dashed into the rocks now because of this. So I asked Le Petit Lenormand what action yo...

Take a real event from a book or story or film or whatever, and then describe some dilemma of one of the characters for the reader to solve. But it was fun doing this reading so all good. Oh now that I didn't realise but what I will be is give you a breakdown as if it were a real reading, understan...

Re: FAN : Diana reads for AeonHorus
Hahaha
Nice one Diana
The half-truths in the scenario really brought it together I think.
I just wish that it was the investment parts that were the truth in the story and the virus the BS, and not the other way around![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Anyway thank you.
Wish I could read back for you ... Can I ?
