The first is the Soulscapes Tarot Self published by Jade M in 2013.

It is a collection of oil paintings that I created as a deck for myself and my students to read with.

Spirit Keeper's Tarot, First Edition by Benebell Wen

Spirit Keeper's Tarot is a hand-illustrated black and white 78-card tarot deck, with 2 additional versions of Key 0 cards, for a total of 80 cards,
inspired by late Renaissance woodcut prints, with symbology based predominantly on medieval European alchemy, Hermeticism, Zoroastrianism, astrology,
the Kabbalah, Abrahamic angelology, Egyptian mythology, Sufism, and late Renaissance Christian mysticism.

The deck was conceived on a personal quest for the prisca theologia, a universal religion--a pursuit since the Age of Enlightenment
and earlier that became the bedrock of Western esotericism. Seeking revelation of that prisca theologia, the deck's imagery syncretizes Egyptian mythos,
Persian magic, the Eleusinian Mysteries, Hinduism, and even Taoist ceremonial magic.

The mission of the deck's sacred engineering is to tap in to a universal channel of divine, beneficent spirit beings.

Spirit Keeper’s Tarot, Vitruvian Edition by Benebell Wen

The second edition, named the Vitruvian Edition, for the hand-illustrated pen and ink Spirit Keeper’s Tarot deck
was released in 2019 after the First Edition’s 1,000-copy limited print run sold out in 7 days.

Then in 2019, in just under 7 months, the Vitruvian Edition sold out its 2,000-copy limited print run.

Between the black and white First Edition and sepia-toned Vitruvian Edition, the following card images were changed: the third version of the Fool, Key 0:
The Keeper, Key 4: The Emperor, Key 6: The Lovers, Key 9: The Erudite (Hermit), Key 21: New World Order, and the four Knights, titled The Shining Ones in SKT.

The companion guidebook, The Book of Maps, was also augmented to 700+ pages.

Spolia Tarot by Jen May and writer Jessa Crispin

The Spolia Tarot is a collaboration between artist Jen May and writer Jessa Crispin.

Jen's work, colorful and earthy, with a feminine vibe and pulling from many historical sources, seemed perfect for a tarot deck. (Also she is a Scorpio.)
Jessa had been working as a tarot card reader for about six years, and was very interested in the history of the deck, the deeper meaning of the imagery,
and how the history of not only the tarot but other forms of mysticism and occult study.
We thought it would take us about a year to complete.
That was three and a half years ago.

Jen works with collage, making the word Spolia appropriate for a title, as it means using rubble as building material.
It also felt fitting for the time we are living in, as institutions, gender norms, religions, and ideas about how a society
should function are all tumbling down and need to be rebuilt. We both believe that intuition and spirit are essential tools for guiding us through this process.

We use images from history, from alchemy and mysticism, from mythology and the natural world to create a lush deck layered with meaning.
I have been studying the symbolism of the tarot for years, and we were meticulous about using the colors, flowers, crystals and stones, animals,
and other imagery associated with each specific tarot card or its astrological associations.

This deck is a variation on an older Italian deck called the Minchiate, which had 97 cards rather than the more standard 78 card deck.

We added a few of the Minchiate's other cards, like one card for each astrological sign, and one for each of the elements.

You'll find instructions on how to use them yourself in the 32 page manual that is included with the deck.
The design work on the deck, manual, and box was done by Tara Romeo.

Starry Cauldron Tarot by Carrie Louise Wood

Creator Carrie Louise Wood consciously included no guidebook to this lavishly illustrated deck with bold watercolors and cosmic themes.

The Starry Cauldron Tarot leaves behind traditional RWS imagery and instead invites the reader to fully rely on intuition.

It has an unusal 3 dimensional quality that adds layers of depth to your readings.

The Subliminal Tarot by Penelope Cline

The Subliminal Tarot was started in an attempt to access the creative subconscious by seeking images in a series of ink splashes and
random marks on twenty-four sheets of card, and developing these into paintings with the tarot archetypes and meanings in mind.

Some cards took weeks to surrender their secrets, others seemed meant to be from the very beginning,
but all took the artist on a journey through creation to accomplish paintings that would never have been envisaged if she'd been faced with a blank sheet of paper.
